Chapter 57 - Educating Beasts

As the motorcycle screeched to a halt, the delinquent in front leered at Song Xia, his voice dripping with arrogance.

"Hey, pretty girl, you want to have some fun with big brother? I guarantee we know the best clubs in town."

Song Xia's frown deepened as she ignored the idiots, determined to continue walking towards her master's house. She knew better than to engage with such lowlifes.

However, her path was abruptly blocked as the gangsters forcefully herded her into a narrow alleyway. The walls of the alley were lined with graffiti, and the flickering streetlight above cast an eerie glow on the scene. They had forced her into an alleyway near an abandoned apartment complex where her foster sister was eagerly awaiting the drama.

In the dimly lit alleyway, the sound of a motorcycle engine echoed off the walls, growing louder with each passing second. Song Xia's instincts kicked in, and she braced herself for the fight that was about to unfold.

The two gangsters approached, their laughter filling the tense air. The first gangster, a tall and wiry young man with a wicked grin and multiple facial piercings, leered at Song Xia with a lustful gaze. "Well, well, look at this pretty little thing," he sneered.

Song Xia's heart raced, and her mouth felt dry as a mix of anger and fear coursed through her veins. She refused to let them intimidate her. With a deep breath, she centered and calmed herself.

'What does it mean to be human?'

Song Xia pondered silently as the gangsters stood before her. 'What separates us from animals? Is it rational thought?'

She couldn't help but consider the irony. In some ways, animals seemed more logical, driven by basic instincts of survival. They didn't possess the complexities of human greed, emotions, and hidden agendas.

Yet, there was something unique about being human. The ability to dream, create, and imagine something more than mere existence. It was this capacity for growth and progress that set humans apart.

But then again, what about humanity and empathy? Some argued that these qualities defined our essence as humans. However, Song Xia couldn't help but think of the darker side of humanity. Those individuals who were lower than beasts, devoid of any moral compass. Like the despicable creatures standing in front of her.

With a steely resolve, she mustered her courage and spoke with unwavering determination, "Get away from me, or else." Her words carried a warning, a promise that she would not hesitate to defend herself against these vile creatures.

The second gangster looked at Song Xia's clenched fists and tensed back with amusement.

"Or else what baby? Brother ,the wild cat thinks she's so much better us. Let's show her who's boss."

He made a crude finger gesture before lunging forward.

Song Xia swiftly sidestepped, avoiding the blow with ease. With lightning-fast reflexes, she countered with a series of precise strikes, landing powerful blows to his vulnerable areas. The gangster staggered back, his confidence waning as he realized he had underestimated Song Xia's skills.

Meanwhile, the second gangster, witnessing his companion's defeat, hesitated for a moment. He secretly despised his partner who was taller and stronger the him. However, his ego got the better of him, and he charged at her, fueled by a mix of anger and arrogance.

Song Xia effortlessly sidestepped his attack, using his momentum against him. With a swift sweep of her leg, she sent him sprawling to the ground. As he lay there, dazed and defeated, she stood over him, her eyes filled with a quiet intensity.

"Now, do you still think I'm just a 'pretty little thing'?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of amusement and a cold sneer on her face.

Song Xia didn't give him a chance to reconsider. She seized the opportunity, launching a barrage of kicks and punches, each one calculated and precise. Her movements were powerful and grace, leaving her opponent no room to counter.

Within moments, the both gangster found themselves on the ground, defeated and humiliated. Song Xia stood tall, her chest heaving with exertion, but her spirit unbroken. She had proven her worth, not just to these gangsters, but to herself.

"Remember this," she said firmly, her voice carrying a hint of warning. Cowards that prey on those weaker than them are scum of the earth. Now go before I lose my temper."

The gangsters, humiliated and bruised, struggled to regain their composure. They had underestimated Song Xia, mistaking her beauty for weakness.

But now, they had learned the hard way that she was not to be trifled with. Why didn't the big boss tell them she knew martial arts ?They didn't thick much of previously harnessing high school girls now they were paying the price. However she was just a little girl how could two grown men be unable to defeat her.

Song Xia had encountered individuals like them before, those who reveled in their own cruelty. They were reminiscent of the sadistic soldiers who took pleasure in terrorizing innocent citizens, the men who domestically abused their wives, and the scum of the earth who committed heinous acts like murder and rape. These were the people who instilled fear in the hearts of their fellow humans. In her roles within the army and hospital, Song Xia had the responsibility of putting those with broken bodies and shattered souls back together, mending the physical and emotional wounds inflicted by these tormentors.

Song Xia swiftly shifted into a fighting stance, her body coiled like a spring ready to unleash its force. She could see the unwillingness and cruelty in their eyes. These two wouldn't give up.

Without warning, she launched into action. Her movements were swift and precise, a flurry of kicks and punches that seemed to blur in the air. The gangsters were caught off guard, their overconfidence shattered as they struggled to defend themselves against her relentless assault.

As the fight intensified, the alleyway echoed with the sounds of grunts and the impact of fists meeting flesh. The gangsters, now desperate to regain control, attempted to fight back, but their efforts were futile against Song Xia's superior training and agility.

With a swift spin kick, she sent one of the gangsters crashing into a nearby dumpster, leaving him disoriented.

The other gangster, fueled by anger and frustration, lunged at her with a switchblade in hand. But Song Xia's reflexes were lightning-fast.She dodged his attack, countering with a powerful roundhouse kick that sent him sprawling to the ground.

Breathing heavily, the defeated gangsters struggled to stand, their bodies bruised and battered.

With one final powerful kick to the chest Song Xia incapacitated the second gangster, leaving him sprawled on the ground, gasping for breath. She stood tall, her chest rising and falling with controlled breaths, her fists still clenched.

In the midst of the aftermath, as Song Xia stood victorious over the defeated gangsters, one of them, the first gangster, groaned and pretended to be unconscious. Song Xia pulled out her phone about to call the police . Unbeknownst to her, he had a hidden agenda.

As Song Xia dialed the emergency number, the seemingly unconscious gangster's eyes flickered with a sinister glint. He had a hidden agenda, one that involved escaping and seeking revenge on the girl who had humiliated him.

With a sudden burst of energy, the gangster lunged towards Song Xia, his hand reaching for the switchblade hidden in his pocket. Acting on pure instinct, Song Xia spun around, narrowly avoiding the blade as it sliced through the air. She swiftly retaliated, delivering a powerful elbow strike to the gangster's jaw, sending him crashing to the ground once again.

While communicating the nature of the incident to the police she noticed a glimmer of something metallic in the corner of her eye. The second gangster, the one she had incapacitated earlier, had managed to retrieve a hidden weapon of his own. He lunged towards her, fueled by desperation and a desire to avenge his fallen comrade.

Just as he was about to strike, a blur of movement intercepted his attack. The iron bar clanged against a pair of strong, calloused hands. It was the twins brother that came to her rescue. One of whom seemed familiar. It was Liang Wei a quiet boy in her school.

"Enough is enough," the other Liang Brother said, his voice filled with a quiet intensity. "We won't let you harm her."

Liang Wei movements were swift and controlled as he delivered a series of calculated strikes, disarming the gangster and leaving him defenseless. While Liang Xin's kicks were merciless.

Song Xia watched in awe as Liang brothers displayed their MMA skills . Their strength and resolve were undeniable.

As the gangster lay defeated, Liang Wei turned his attention back to Song Xia, concern etched on his face. "

Are you alright?" he asked once again, his voice softer this time.

Song Xia nodded, a small smile forming on her lips. "Thanks to both of you, I'm okay. I never expected you two to come to my rescue."

Liang Wei and Liang Xin exchanged a knowing glance, their bond as brothers evident in their unspoken communication.
