Liu Ting thought she was hallucinating when she saw Song Xia. How could she be here? She wasn't rich or powerful but just some poor model from 99 Scenes who was recently fired. Shen Xue's party was one of the social highlights of the year .How could a nobody appear here?But there is no way that someone looks identical to her.
Those striking gold eyes and face were unmistakable.
" Hello ,Liu Ting " she stated.
Liu Ting had come to start trouble with the girls in gold and pink dresses because she had heard from her friends that they gotten security to kick Ye Dong out of the party.She wanted to insult and humiliate them into leaving but now seeing that Song Xia was the girl in gold she felt a bit scared.
She quickly concluded that there was nothing to be scared of. So what if she had lost against Song Xia before? This was the real world not some stupid modeling class!She was looking forward to putting Song Xia in her place.
" Why did you cause problem for my boyfriend? Did you flirt with him and when he refused your advances get him kicked out?" She sneered at Song Xia while some people who knew of the situation just shook their head at Liu Ting.
Liu Ting genuinely believed that Ye Dong had fallen in love with her . Little did she know he had only met her after Coach Han's modeling class because he was looking for Song Xia. When Song Xia was fired he settled for the second best Liu Ting while keeping his girlfriend on the side. To his good fortune Liu Ting was a young rich miss who he could exploit with many connections to advance his career.
" I am not interested in that scum.Ye Dong, made unwanted advances on my friend. Even if you don't believe me many people can be witness to it."Song Xia pointed out before dismissing Liu Ting and walking towards her seat with Jin Yu.
Her casual, unmoved attitude riled up Liu Ting. The unwavering manner in which she spoke lead her to believe that Ye Dong was to blame but she didn't care. She wanted to make Song Xia cry and beg her for forgiveness.
"Song Xia! How dare you speak to me like that! I will get you thrown out of the party ! Shen Xue is my close personal friend so if you don't get on your knees now and apologize I will get her to throw you and your friend out."Liu Ting spat and her breathe heaving.The people around them started looking at Song Xia and Jin Yu with pity. They weren't in the wrong but now they would be kicked out.
"Yes, apologize to Xiao Ting then maybe she'll spare you." One of Liu Ting's friends jeered.
Another one snorted,"Liu Ting just kick the bitches out."
The crowd split and quietened down when Shen Xue appeared and walked towards Song Xia, Liu Ting and Jin Yu.
" Shen Xue..." Liu Ting stopped talking shocked when Shen Xue flung her arms around Song Xia and Jin Yu.
"Xiao Yu, Xiao Xia I'm so glad that you came."Shen Xue said as she took her seat at the table. Shen Xue did not want to sit at the long table in the dinning room with all the adults . The table she had chosen was in the front ,middle of the room and contained her closest friends and family members close to her age.
Shen Xue did not like over extravagant parties but it was necessary for powerful and wealthy families to show off their status. Parties like theses were needed to build up connections and networks and she understood that from a young age. Although she would soon have to play the role of the Shen Family's Young Lady at dinner she wanted to be Shen Xue
"Xue Er , you look beautiful ." Jin Yu complimented her.
"Absolutely dazzling and your dress is amazing!" Song Xia added and smiled at her.
"Thank you, you'll look beautiful as well" Shen Xue said as she pushed back a strand of her recently dyed fully black hair.
Liu Ting realized that Song Xia was friends with Shen Xue. Most people would cut their loses and leave but she also wanted to establish a friendship with Shen Xue. She did know Shen Xue from school but they weren't friends and she was one year ahead of her.
"Shen Xue, your birthday party is really great!" The large smile plastered on her face there was was returned with a confused look.
"Oh, thank you. Do I know you? Are you an out of town guest?"Shen Xue's reply was polite and aloof but it felt like a stinging slap to Liu Ting's face. She had been bragging about being a friend of Shen Xue 's in front of Song Xia .In reality Shen Xue didn't remember her and was Song Xia's friend.
"I'm Liu Ting from school. I'm one year ahead of you Chenying introduced us."
Shen Xue's expression changed and became icy cold. The world might not know about what Shen Chenying did but she could never forget. She was in the process of cutting out all the toxic fake friends from her life and she didn't want to deal with one of Chenying's minions.
"Well enjoy the party." Shen Xue ended the conversation abruptly and began talking to Song Xia and Jin Yu.

The Shen's has went out of their way when it came to catering. There was western food and eastern food. A variety of food that could cater to different taste buds. An abundance of delicious deserts. Chocolate cake, Vanilla sponge cake and milk tarts. Creamy ice creams and macaroons that everyone would love.
"Now , we will present Shen Xue's journey from childhood into becoming the beautiful young lady that she has become."
The first picture was the day Shen Xue was born surrounded by all her family member in the hospital.Another picture of a 1 year old Shen Xue fast asleep on her father's chest with her brothers on either side of the bed. Song Xia's personal favorite picture was of Shen Xue with her mother dancing in the garden in the garden.
"Now these photographs were taken by Master Cao and her beautiful dress was designed by Mingzhu an exclusive dress just for her."
The photographers were stunning and she looked breathtaking. The background was of a fiery sunset on the beach and Shen Xue looked like a Princess. There was a gold tiara with red stones in the shot which went perfectly with the dress and complemented her personality. Shen Xue was strong, beautiful and bold. A Princess by birth and heart.
