He walked towards her back facing him. "Because you, Miss. Need an opportunity to be recognised. And this. Is that opportunity."
"Seems like you need this opportunity and I need the information you have regarding this case."
Jessica turned around. She tilted her head a little and looked at him.
"What should I call you then?"
"Mr Hebrew you may."
~~~~~~
They both were looking at Hebrew's glass board now.
Hebrew's apartment was small and antique design, but cosy. Wooden flooring and white coloured walls gave a boring look. His house didn't contain much, but two single sofas facing each other and a huge sofa placed in between of those single sofas. In front of the huge sofa was a small stool, on which was rue antique-looking telephone.
Other than sofas, there was the glass board in the left-hand side corner of the room, and a cloth and hat stand near the door.
"Tell me what you know till now," Hebrew asked.
"Honestly!" He added, and she cleared her throat.
"So, the thing is, she had gone missing a week ago. Her family even reported her-"
"Who? From her family?"
She flinched at his sudden question.
"A man…her boyfriend."
"How can you be so sure that he was in a romantic relationship with her?" He questioned again.
"This is what he said-"
"Wrong!" he yelled.
And she flinched again.
"Believing just facts, not the proves and you call yourself a DETECTIVE?!"
"Maybe he was lying, maybe he was the murderer, have you seen him in the station since then, EVER?" She shook her head.
He scoffed ironically.
"How could you all ignore a suspect so easily?"
He banged his fist against the board.
"Since the start, you've believed only the facts which were thrown upon your face." he shook her by grabbing her shoulder.
Her widened eyes could tell how scared she was at the moment. Little did she knew, what he was saying right now was not related to this case at all. It felt to her as if, he was yelling at her for something he was frustrated with for a long time.
"But you...you always give up by just scratching the surface." He walked away from her.
"What do you mean?" She asked, following some steps.
"She was not murdered a day ago, am I wrong?" He looked at her, and she gulped.
"What you all are hiding from me, from-from everyone?!"
"I cannot trust you because you all seem so fake. Fake news, fake proves fake details. EVERYTHING SO FAKE!"
"No! you're wrong!" she yelled.
"I'll give you one more chance, tell me the truth and I'll let you help me on this case." He offered.
"You said just a while ago that...you need me on the case. So-"
"But if you won't be of any help, why would I need you? So, tell me the truth."
"I am not lying, Mr Winchester isn't lying!" She was too confident, which made him laugh sarcastically.
"Why do you believe him so much? You think he is THE MOST honest person?"
"What do you even know about him? Uh?!" Hebrew walked closer to her, and she stepped backwards.
"You think he is the most honest and helpful as he seems? How can you be so blind?"
"Mr HEBREW?!"
"Shut up!"
"Your small thinking and ignoring the big picture makes you the junior detective all this year. You never thought about what the other side is. You always just went with the flow."
Behind her is just a wall now, and in front is Hebrew. His piercing and enraged gaze, along with his heavy breaths, somewhat made her frightened and uncomfortable. He could see that.
"You think you can replace me? If you were the first chosen one, then let me remind you, I am the most wanted one!"
"But why don't you believe Mr Winches-"
"Because he is all fake now!" he yelled again and left her standing there.
Controlling his anger, he sat on one of his sofas. Showing his back to her and declared,
"I don't need someone like you by my side, you're just as blinded as others. I'll do it on my own. The door is over there, you may leave."
She was quiet. Hebrew couldn't hear a single thing. After a second he heard the door opening and closing with a tremendous thud, making the old windows of his house shudder.
Hebrew sat in silence, he had done some research on this case. He could see where Jessica was lacking behind. Seeing her so dumb witted, made him frustrated. Five years ago, dumb witted people like her doomed his life. They believed which wasn't the truth.
Hebrew sighed and started coughing.
"Shouldn't have yelled that much." He coughed hard.
He covered his mouth while the other hand rubbed his chest. Lying back ok the sofa, he controlled his urge to cough more and closed his eyes. Breathing in deeply, he kept his fist of his right hand on his forehead.
"Something is off about him, why does he seem so fake all the time now?" He mumbled while thinking about Mr Winchester.
