Chapter 7 - Date?!

As she woke up, Ema rubbed her eyes.

"How did I end up in here...?" She grumbled.

As Ema walked into the kitchen, Cybel ran over to her.

"Miss Ema!" She cried.

"Cybel!" Ema called back playfully.

"According to my data, it seems you have a date set for today, correct...?" She questioned.

"E-eh...?!" Ema cried, turning bright red.

"A date? You?" Chris asked, cocking his head.

"W-well..."

"Who's the unlucky victim?" Chris teased.

"I'm not telling you!" Ema shouted.

"According to my data, it is a girl by the name of Tammy Pe-"

Ema quickly put a hand over Cybel's mouth.

Chris spit out his coffee.

"T-Tammy?!" He cried.

"Not cool, Cybel!" Ema scolded.

"When did this become a thing...?" Chris asked.

"We exchanged numbers and whatnot when she came over last time..." Ema mumbled.

"Listen," Ema began.

"You don't have to say it; I know she's too good for me, but..." She quickly looked down.

"She's adorable and cute and-"

"You don't have to explain yourself, Ema," Chris reassured.

"If this is what you want, by all means, go for it." He encouraged.

"C-Chris..." Ema looked up.

"Thanks..." She whispered with a smile.

"What time do you have to be ready, and do you need a lift or-"

"Woah, easy there, pops!" Ema cried.

"Tammy is driving, and I have to be ready by sixish..." She said, looking at her phone.

"Cybel," Ema began.

"Remind me, would you?" She asked.

"Of course!" Cybel responded gleefully.

"Thanks," Ema smiled.

"Chris..." She whispered, turning to him.

"Thanks for being cool about it; I know you and Tammy are good friends and whatnot..." She blushed.

"'Course, I'm sure you two will have a lot of fun." Chris smiled softly.

"I'm gonna go get ready now..." Ema said, walking away.

"So cute!" Cybel cheered.

"Oi, Cybel," Chris began, turning to her.

"Hm?"

"Why don't we take you clothes shoppin' today?" He asked.

"Oh, that sounds fun!" Cybel cried.

"Great!" Chris smiled.

"In that case, I'll go and page June," he said, getting up.

"It's odd, though," Chris narrowed his eyes.

"Usually pops is the first one down here, and yet neither him nor June came down at all this morning..." He frowned.

"Cybel, you stay down here; I'll go see what's up," Chris said as he stretched his back.

"'Kay!" Cybel waved as Chris entered the elevator.
