"As always Aragaki-san is still lenient to Soji, I'm really envious of your relationship." Said Kaida
Although most people get defensive about this type of thing, both Soji and Saori are used to this type of thing since they are a child so it didn't even bother them.
So they just ignore him and continued to talk about what they did during the golden week.
And when Ayano arrives Saori then goes and talks to her leaving them to talk among themselves.
...
Chapter 21
After talking for a while the teacher arrives and takes the attendance so all of them go back to their respective seats.
While the teacher is taking attendance one boy arrives late and were looking pretty nervous.
Looking at them the teacher asks. "Why are you late? Answer me Takeshi, Inoue-san." said the teacher
The fairly-tall teenager with short, spiky black hair and large brown eyes answers. "I was with my club for the morning practice Izumi-sensei."
The teacher who is called Izumi is a grown woman with a slender yet well-toned figure with fair skin, sharp dark eyes, and upper back-length black hair often wore in box braids tied in a ponytail."
Izumi nodded knowing full well the state of each club in school.
"I will forgive you this time but I will not be this lenient next time. Understand?"
"Yes crystal clear Izumi-sensie."
"Okay then go to your seat while I resume with your attendance."
Takeshi then goes to the seat in front of Soji.
After he sat Soji decided to talk to him.
"Just as we got back from the break you are already late Takeshi-kun."
"Hahaha. Well, our classroom is too far from the baseball field so I tried to run but I was reprimanded by one of the disciplinary committees."
"I see so that's why you were late."
"Yeah. They should seriously need to cut some slack sometimes since this is the reason why most people are arriving late after morning practice." Takeshi complained.
Soji couldn't agree more to Takeshi's sentiment as he is also one of their victims.
"I know right. It's not like they don't know that most of the students here are part of a club as the school is known for their athletics and not academic ability."
The two complained to each other until the teacher starts her lesson.
At the lunch break, Soji eats with Kaida and Takeshi while Saori is with Ayana and Tsubaki.
"So you are a regular now Kaida-kun?" Takeshi asks.
"Yeah, also Soji also almost became a regular if he didn't meet our captain this year."
"Really that's pretty bad luck you got their Soji."
"I'll just have to try harder next time also it isn't so bad since I can at least train a bit more now than when we are on our first year."
After hearing what Soji said Kaida remembers their days as first years when they can't even use the court that often unless the coach makes them since the upperclassmen are hogging them all the time.
He also remembers looking enviously at the girls' court since they share the courts with their first years a few times in a week while they are lucky if they can use it a few times in a month.
"Well let's hope you don't get a bad draft next time and also if you want we can play on weekends," said Kaida as he knows Soji learns the best on a match.
"Thanks I will take you on your offer then and will play with you reluctantly then," Soji said in a haughty voice while patting Kaida's shoulder.
Knowing his intent Kaida decided to act with him.
"I see I'm really honored to play with Soji-sama on the weekends."
"So how is your club doing Takeshi-kun?" Soji ask
