It's been two weeks since the party and Esmeralda had decided to stay indoors for that two weeks. Anastasia arrived the week after and since then it was noisy and lively in the house.
"I swear if you don't get up this instant I'm throwing your laptop away."
The whole house could hear the voices coming from Kyle's room. They were wondering what happened to make the eldest miss threaten the young master.
"Do it I can buy another one. I am tired. Just let me sleep for another second."
Kyle whined and stuffed his face in his pillow ignoring his sister who glared daggers at him. He covered his body including his head with the duvet and sighed.
"You won't get up right! Fine! I'm calling Esme!"
Anastasia stated ready to leave the room but was stopped by the flying sheets in the air.
"I'm up! I'm up!!"
Kyle yelled and got out of bed in a flash. He didn't want to be scolded by Esmeralda. He knew she wouldn't say anything but the way she would look at him was enough to make him succumb.
"I can't believe this! You're scared of your sister but not me?! I'm hurt."
Anastasia playfully huffed and crossed her arms.
"You're perfectly fine sis. And besides, you can also testify to how scary Nana really is when provoked."
Kyle commented before entering the bathroom and closing the door behind him.
Anastasia sat on the bed and sighed. Her brother was right. Esmeralda wasn't easily provoked but when she is... things tend to take a 360 degrees turn.
*****
"Where are we going, again?"
Kyle asked after closing the front door behind him. He was walking behind his two sisters who stopped at the black van that suddenly parked in front of them. One of the guards opened the door and stood by the side. Esmeralda was the first to enter, followed by Anastasia and Kyle.
"To The Cube."
Anastasia answered her brother's pending question and told the driver their destination. The Cube was a newly opened restaurant owned by one of Anastasia's friend. It was situated at the busiest part of the city. A place where everybody was welcome.
"Why?"
"To have a family dinner you idiot."
"Hey! I'm a sensible and fine man!"
"You have been deceived."
"Nana! She's calling me ugly."
"Isn't it true?!"
Esmeralda smirked at her siblings banter. They love to fight over petty issues and act like little kids. This was one of the reasons she likes having a family dinner. The bond was always there and no one was left out.
"If I'm ugly then you're also ugly. We share the same genes and people think we're a twin remember."
Kyle smirked at his victory of making his sister tongue tied.
"I hate you."
"I love you."
Anastasia laughed at her brother who grinned from ear to ear. Their family wasn't a strained one although a certain someone hardly talks but it wasn't the best either. Yes there were ups and downs but they still handle everything together. They believed that unity is gold.
"Did you see my phone?"
Kyle asked no one in particular. He was searching through his pockets and the car seat. Honestly, he couldn't remember carrying his phone in a hurry.
"Nope didn't see it."
Anastasia shrugged and went back to eating the cookies that her sister baked after being pressurised to do so. If she wasn't persistent then Esmeralda would never take her request seriously.
"I think I left it at home."
Kyle leaned back on the chair and sighed.
"This is all your fault."
He glared at Anastasia.
"Me?"
"Yes. If you didn't drag me out of my room then I might have noticed it."
Anastasia shook her head and ignored him. Her cookies were more important.
Out of nowhere a phone landed on Kyle's lap and he stared at it, dumbfounded. He looked over to his sister who stared outside the window quietly.
"Next time before leaving the house check for your belongings properly. "
"Thank you."
"Ma'am we're here."
The driver announced immediately the car stopped.
"Yay! We're here."
Anastasia brought out her purple face mask with a white heart on the side and put it on She also put on white sunglasses and checked her self on her phone screen. Kyle and Esmeralda also did the same with their masks but theirs were pure black. Esmeralda chose transparent glasses making her green eyes look glasses when you look at them while Kyle chose black sun glasses.
"If it wasn't for the both of you, I wouldn't have worn this."
Esmeralda came down from the car and kept her hands in her pocket. Her green eyes scanned the area and her body relaxed. No sign of danger lurking around.
"Let's go."
Anastasia lead her siblings into the restaurant with a happy smile. They were led to their booth but their movements did not go unnoticed. The people in the bar were curious about the three people that entered. Two of them looked familiar but with the mask and glasses they couldn't pin point who they were.
But a certain table were caught off guard. The six men sitted around the table couldn't believe their eyes. Or were they hallucinating?
"I think I'm hallucinating?"
The first man with red hair asked. He had olive skin and broad shoulders. He rubbed his eyes and shook his red locks.
"I think we're all hallucinating, Tom."
The man who sat beside Thomas commented. His brown hair was gelled back but some stubborn strand still made themselves known.
"But those eyes... I can't forget those eyes."
Thomas said. Even in a hundred years, he will never be able to forget those eyes. The eyes that sent unspoken threats everytime they did something wrong.
"What do you think Mark, Ethan, Rooney. Am I the only one who's seeing things?"
Thomas asked the other three who sat like lifeless statues. They didn't answer him but they couldn't deny the fact that she was the one. Her eyes and aura gave her away.
"I can't believe she's here. After all these years she didn't change."
