Chapter 1 - A tragic day...

"Nothing can be better than kicking off the morning with a hot cup of coffee!" exclaimed Arhaan quaffing in a big sip of his double espresso. He then went to the main door to grab that days newspaper. He had a well toned captivating body with slick bronze hair and teal eyes.

Fastening the door, Arhaan who was wrapped in white-grey t-shirt and a track pant with newspaper in one hand and a mug of coffee in the other suddenly felt a lick on his ankle...and it was his downy dog! He named him Puzo. Puzo was of havenese breed and was the perfect epitome of a white dinky dog. He ran around circling his owner with a lot of warmth in his eyes. Arhaan lifted him up with a winsome smile on his face and settled him on the side lounge.

"I know why you are encircling me making your all time innocent puppy face... you want your dog food, right?..... You know what you are so mean!

Whenever it's your food time you would mount on me for food.... but when you have to throw that food out of your body you would not even consider me while throwing it at our neighbor's door and would simply go off swaying your tail as if you have done a great work...But it's me who have to pick your shit up every single day!" cheesed off Arhaan taking out the dog food in a bowl.

He then served the food to his fluffy dog and went to the kitchen to prepare nuggets for him in brunch. And his dog went to some other room upstairs after having his dog food.

Arhaan turned towards the kitchen and started walking. Meanwhile; he abruptly became motionless; as if he was a sculpture (What happened to him? How can he just simply freeze?)

It had been almost ten minutes and he was still stop dead. A hush descended the room and his dog was also upstairs; not even his woof can be heard around Arhaan as his pent house was enormous for the two of them to live. The room had no noise.

On the spur of the moment; his phone rang, and Arhaan picked it up.( What wasn't he froze? And how could a person come into live this fact who almost turned into a stone probably fifteen minutes ago?...Maybe due to the phone call! )

As he picked the call the person on the other side hung up. (Why would a person call if he doesn't even want to talk?) Arhaan too hung up and went to the kitchen to prepare his as if nothing had happened. (But who was the person who called him and didn't even talk on the call? And Arhaan didn't even get amazed that why that man called him if he don't want to talk?)

After when his meal was prepared he started off with his food. As the first bite of freshly cooked nuggets went into his mouth he felt a meld of some rich spices which ended bursting a lot of flavors. As he was gulping the food in, all of a sudden he held his neck and fell down on his cold marble floor. He started floundering on the floor and was actually trying to free himself from the pain he suddenly went through. He felt his throat out as he lurch around.

(He was just so fine a minute ago and was tempting for his nuggets but what happened this sudden that forced him to roll on the floor that too holding his neck? what was going on with him? Firstly he froze and now he is almost choking! He is surely having a tragic day.)

Meanwhile he went through a sudden pessimism and couldn't stop himself thinking the worst aspect that could happen with him. Those thoughts prevailed in his mind for pretty long and he was about to pass out but suddenly he realized that he was poisoned.(Poisoned???Who would have done that???). As he and Puzo were the only one living in his apartment. (And it was more than enough and lavish for a 25 year old bachelor to live.)

He couldn't think of anything apart from that; that he was knoking at death's door. He had almost lost hope that he could live anymore. But in between he saw a glass of water on the dinette and thought that it would at least sooth him down on his last leg and can die without pain. He tried to reach to the glass; but he was lying on the floor and was no more in the position to even stand up, so he tried to haul his body up to the table struggling a lot from pain. This seemed like dangling a carrot in front of a horse which was out of his reach.
