Today was the last day of Mrs Walker's trial. The court had passed their verdict and of course it wasn't in her favour. Her license was revoked and she was sentenced to seven years imprisonment.
Mrs Walker chuckled when she heard her sentence. She knew her sentence was too light for her crime and that had her husband's hand written all over it. She looked over to where her family were seated and her eyes welled up with tears. Despite her wrong doing, they still came. Maybe not to support her but seeing them made her happy and regretful at same time.
Seven years might be a light punishment, but it was a long time not to spend with family. She had a wonderful family. A loving and dedicated husband, wonderful children but she threw all that away. She had wronged them, and put them in harms way. She didn't deserve them at all.
What a shame that it took her ruining someone's life and a jail sentence to realise what she had.
