High realm, Reign of faes
She sat on her throne, her face a mask of displeasure as she heard her favourite dog yapping, for he was no more than a dog to her, eager as he was to please her, ripe to do her most crude of biddings. A dog obeying it's master.
Oh how he went on and on, never once halting in the praise of that female, as if she was death herself.
"Enough!" Her voice echoed throughout the house of the lords, yet it was no more than a hushed whisper as she turned her gaze towards the trembling guards. New recruits for they didn't immediately fall to their knees as her gaze fell on them. Pathetic. A nod from her and two of her sentries stepped forward, bowing before their sovereign. Turning towards the new recruits, their swords bare, eager for bloodshed as the pleas for mercy went unheard.
"Uh- huh! Seems like you have a new task after all. Make sure such pathetic scums are not anywhere around me again. Go on. Quick! I don't have all day now, do I?" The look of disgust on her face combined with the boredom in her voice proved her utter disregard for the deaths of her own subjects, proof enough of her capacity as a leader, yet he watched her with utter adoration in his eyes.

Ayvah's POV
"No."
"Please."
"No."
"Pretty please?"
"Pretty sure I said no."
"Oh come on. Once?"
"No."
"Damn your one word responses. Ughhh-you," taking a deep sigh she continued, "Let's try this again, shall we? I will say please and you will respond by saying yes. Got it?"
"Uh-huh."
"Good. So here I go. Pleaseee?"
"No."
"But- but you just said yes!"
"You asked me whether I understood what you tried to tell me, and seeing as I did, I replied with an uh-huh not a yes, but whatever."
"I swear I wish I could kill you. I mean not literally but, I mean you get my point right? I wou- will you stop laughing!"
"Are you even listening to yourself speak. It's but obvious to laugh."
"Can both of you shut up! I have a meeting in a few minutes and it would do me well if I read through the actual presentation before sauntering in like an idiot."
"But Ayvah-" Both of them started their whining anew so much so that I had to cast them both out of my office. I felt a grin break on my face at the thought of their disgruntled faces when they found themselves on the rooftop.
I had barely finished reading through the report before the two of them came through, the frown on their faces making the situation all the more hilarious.
"That was so not cool Ayvah! You know we cannot zenoe in your office without your permission." Cohen let out a dramatic sigh at the end of his little speech.
And how could Cressida stay behind? And so she place her hand upon her heart in a dramatic gesture, before speaking in an extremely high nasal tone, "Yes how could you do that to us. We trusted you and you broke our hearts. I mean I know Cohen looks like a heartless giant but what about me. Am I not the most innocent of angels you have ever seen?" She finished with a dramatic bow before bursting into laughter. Cohen and I joined in not a second too late, laughing till tears ran down our cheeks.
It almost felt like old times. Almost.

"But from what I have seen Mr. Leopald, you have not left a single chance to pin the blame on me and to make it extremely clear one last time, I do not like repeating myself."
From the way his face contorted into the likeness of what I could only assume to be anger, and the way he opened and closed his mouth like a jelly fish, it was apparent that he wanted to contradict me once more.
"I know Ms. Mo-"
"I think you didn't hear me correctly as you haven't been able to from the past few days. For I assume that you can not hear the instructions so clearly delivered to you as you so completely lack in following them. And I have no use for people who dare question my rights. You may leave." Turning away from him as colour bleached from his face, I went back to studying theĀ reports that had been presented to me.
"You can't do that. I am an integral part of the company and-" It was clear form the pallor of his face that he knew that his efforts were futile, yet it was his last attempt to salvage his position, a fish gaping for breath.
"But I just did Mr. Leopald."
~~~
"You were a complete bitch out there, and you know what I loved it. I mean I could barely control my laughter. Imagine how freaked out they would've been hearing a disembodied voice laughing like a-"
"Hyena?" Cohen supplied helpfully.
"I was going for a totally hot princess but yep that too." Cressida's voice was half muffled by the Oreos she kept on stuffing in her mouth.
"You both are completely crazy. I mean seriously? Out of all the times you had to go stir crazy it had to be when you'll are in my office." I managed a sigh at the end, though it was quite refreshing to be able to speak freely without the facades which I put up in front of everyone but them, I was in no frame of mind to actually put up with their goofiness now that everything was set in motion.
Ruins of Archahnia, Stelres, Year 205
"I love you!" I poured my entire soul into those three words, willing her to look upon me, trying to find a semblance of the girl whom I once loved.
The woman in front of me gave a saccharine smile before her face morphed into something different, until even the features of my angel was no more than a devil.
"Oh you do? But guess what, I don't. I mean who would want to spend even a moment of their lives with a pathetic scum like you. Have you ever seen yourself in the mirror?"
Her words broke me anew as she let out a blood curdling scream before she fell, her blood forming a river around her.
"It wasn't m-me. I will, a-al-always l-love y-you." Her last words to me before the light left her eyes.
I woke up, the sweat on my body fell so much like her blood soaking through me, reminding me of my mistakes, all of which lead upto her death, guilt once again ridding me.
I felt the bonds of obsidian drain my powers once more, yet I lay still for it had been years since I stopped fighting it's pull. I deserved the agony which accompanied the severance of my strength. The last thing I saw before giving in to oblivion's embrace was the male slumped against a pillar on the other side of the wall. So close yet miles away. Another one of my torments for no one could even feel my aura emanating in here.
I was utterly alone. Exactly what I deserved for abandoning her.
