Looking at the glowing message Jason had a sense of foreboding. Especially since this seemed to him that he was going to be attacked by some random entity. So he asked the only thing that seemed to have any sort of answer. "AI am I going to be attacked? If I am about to be attacked will I have any sort of warning beforehand?" Jason was starting to breathe rapidly with his chest falling and rising quickly with each breath. If he was attacked by some monster he had no way to defend himself. Especially against the demons that the AI had mentioned.
The AI responded without the slightest hint of alarm or worry. "You will probably be attacked by some monsters very soon. Some will sense your presence and will wait for others to attack to gauge your strength. Others will attack because they sense an easy kill. However you probably have no reason to worry about being attacked by an overwhelmingly powerful enemy. The odds of one even being in the state are very low to begin with.Combined with the fact that they are usually vying with each other for more territory means that they will probably not notice you. The weaker monsters in your area will probably by now have sensed you and are deciding how to approach you. They will probably decide to send in a weak monster assuming that it will easily defeat you. As for recognizing a monster you will probably feel an uneasiness and the hairs on the back of your neck will probably stand up. Humans used to have this sense for monsters but it has been dulled over the hundreds of years. So you will probably sense the monster however I will also assist you in recognizing the monster for what it is. And your barrier will alert you to any hostile intruders that have crossed into your lairs territory."
At that moment the doorbell rang. Jason went to answer the door. The sun had almost completely set so it was fairly dark. Opening the door he saw a man standing there dressed a grey polo and black pants with a clipboard. He was wearing a baseball hat that was pulled down low hiding his eyes. "Would you be so kind as to answer a couple of questions about what you think about the neighborhood?" The man's voice was a high pitched voice that instantly set Jason's nerves on edge. "No thank you I am in the middle of something" Jason replied. The wariness that came when the man first spoke had not worn off. If anything it was increasing. "Thats a shame." The man seemed genuinely hurt that Jason had not taken him up on his offer. "Well I will move onto the next house. Have a goodnight". As the man turned to go Jason caught a flash of a green glow coming from the man's eyes. Jason hurriedly shut the door. Watching from the window with the shades hiding everything but his he observed the man. The man did not go on to the next house but instead seemed to continue down the street. Then the man turned around facing Jason's house and raised a hand. Even from far away Jason could now see that the man's eyes were glowing green. Jason saw the man's mouth move and then the man turned and left.
(Warning Barrier has been compromised)
A notification accompanied by an urgent beeping appeared in front of Jason. Jason had felt uneasy about the man but now he was certain that it had been a monster that had come to his door on a scouting mission. "Who was at the door? His mom called from the kitchen. "Just some door salesman" Jason replied and then went upstairs to his room.He had a lot of questions for the AI and he didn't want his mom thinking he was a lunatic talking into the air.
"That was a goblin of the mage variety". The AI suddenly said. "Very gifted in the magic arts but weak in melee they are quite dangerous from range. This goblin served as a scout and as an attacker. He oversaw what protections there were and broke them. Now they will probably send in a goblin or two to kill you later this night. Seeing as they sent a mage to scout and he decided to break the barrier in order to allow others to attack they will probably only send melee goblins in. Melee goblins have glowing red eyes and are not as adept at disguising themselves. The ones that attack you will probably not even bother. I suggest that you prepare for combat. The barrier is not broken and so will still alert you to an intruder. However it will be useless to stop an intruder from entering."
Jason glanced at the clock in his room. It read 7:13pm. Jason was worried about being attacked especially since he didn't know how to defend himself. What was he supposed to do? Pin a goblin to the floor while it was doing its best to murder him? As he was thinking about this he suddenly remembered what had happened after he had cast the barrier. His level had apparently rose a level and he had unlocked a skill and upgraded a skill. Opening his status window he looked under Skills.

After seeing this Jason felt a little more hopeful about his chances. He still was not entirely certain that he would win against any monster but his chances had improved significantly from what they would have been if had been a regular human. Glancing back at his clock he saw that it read 8:00pm. Jason frowned "I spent that much time looking at my stats?". Just then a notification appeared accompanied by a persistent beeping.
