Different.
We are totally different.
I realised that the moment I saw his face.
"What the hell have you done to my car?", He grabbed the kid I was babysitting by the shoulders. I immediately shuffled out from underneath the car and stepped between the two.
"What are you doing?...you shouldn't scold a kid like that", I said to him but he turned his extremely cold eyes on to me.
"Well then, I shall deal with you. You owe me 2000 dollars for scratching my new Lamborghini Veneno. My Dyonic here costs me 4.5 million dollars and you think you can just scratch it?"
I turned surprised eyes to him.
"look here Mr Arrogant Million dollars, he's just a kid playing around. it was a complete accident that he scratched your car", I tried to reason with him.
"and what makes you think I care about that?", he asked remorselessly.
Well then, he's a jerk as well.
"Pay up and then get lost"
Rude Jerk!
"I will be pleased to let you know that I'm this boy's..."
"I don't care what you are to him. You're probably a teenage mother but you'll either say you're his sister or baby sitter. Don't you all lie?", he cut me off rudely.
Whoever lied to him must have done a very good job.
Rude Distrustful Jerk!
It was funny how he was demanding 2000 dollars when the money I had in my purse was barely 200. If reasoning didn't work, I had another plan under my sleeve. So I decided to play a bold game instead.
"I shall not be paying any money whatsoever to you Mister. As it is, if you were able to pay for a 4.5 million dollar car, you should be able to afford a 2000 dollar extra cost for touching it up. Good day Mister"
With that I grabbed Drake's hand and immediately walked out of the parking lot, hoping he wouldn't be stubborn enough to follow us. The next moment I turned he was opening his car and entering it.
Thank Goodness.
At least he's not a stubborn jerk!
Just as I hailed a taxi and we were just about to get in, I saw a red Lambho stop just infront of the taxi. My eyes widened when he stepped out in all his glory. Guess I judged too quickly. He is a stubborn jerk!.
Too late, I pushed Drake into the taxi and asked him to drive even though I hadn't given him an address.
The taxi pulled away and I stiffled a victorious laugh. I turned to look through the window and his car was still parked at the same spot where we had left him.
I relaxed into the car and smiled down at Drake as I handed over an address to the driver. My phone rang and I thought it was my sister Jayda. Feeling happy that we didn't have to deal with the arrogant jerk from back then, I shushed the boy beside ne when I saw his mother calling. I picked up immediately and smiled.
"Hello Mrs Fenty, yes Drake and I are just fine. oh yes, we went to the park". I mean parking lot and park are almost similar right, I may have only ommited a few of the words but it's just a small lie.
"Okay, thank you", I ended the call and sighed. This was the only job I could get without revealing my past employment history. And im not about to loose 100 dollars just because of an arrogant jerk who can't be forgiving enough to overlook a little child's accident.
"ma'am, your husband is still following us. he's been following us for the past 20 minutes and 20 seconds", the driver said immediately I ended my call.
"W-what?", I asked in surprise. My head immediately snapped to tge backseat window and I saw his red Lambhorgini what was it called again?...Veveno following right behind our taxi.
Drake suddenly giggled, "is this a car race ?. or like a chase?", he asked and I turned annoyed eyes to him.
"No Drake Fenty, that man in the car behind is a person who owes me and right now he's after us, he's trying to beg me for some time to pay up"
Drake nodded and I sighed in relief that I was able to convince him so easily.
I turned to the driver and asked him to stop. The moment I walked out, I asked him to take the small boy to the address I had given him earlier.
"I am Dolores Fenty, wife of the CEO of FentyWap and my son here is Drake Fenty. My car broke down back there and I left my purse and phones back at a friend's place. I shall be leaving the safety of my son in your hands from here on. Escort him safely to the mansion, and remember I have your plate number. I can make things very complicated for you"
The driver fearfully nodded and I smiled at Drake reassuringly.
"I'll be with you soon Drake"
The red Lambho stopped as soon as the taxi drove off and I found myself face to face with the Arrogant one.
He smirked at me and I rolled my eyes.
"Shall we proceed from where we left off?", he asked.
"I already told you I'm not paying you a single cent", I countered.
"Oh is that so, do you want me to file a case against you?", he said venomously while forcefully grabbing my arm.
I scoffed, "what kind of man files a case because of this?" and then I glared at him. I stryggled against him trying to break his hold but he grabbed my other arm as well and pulled me to his chest, trapping me in his hold.
"it's now 4000 because I spent my precious time, energy and fuel chasing you"
"What??????? that is preposterous!.....you can't be serious",
"You think??....okay, wait a second", he pulled out his phone and began to dial a number
Seconds later,
"is this 112?"....."
My eyes widened and I immediately shouted,
"What is that ?",
His hold on my arms loosened as he turned and I took that opportunity to bolt, heading for the shortcuts I knew very well.
Blaze was utterly dumbfounded at himself for being tricked like that. He saw her bolt for a street, a small object landed on the floor without her knowledge and then she disappeared around a corner. He took a step towards the object, and smiled when his eyes handed on the small purse she had left behind unintentionally in her rush.
He immediately picked it up and smiled when he opened it. An ID card.
