Oden was sleeping peacefully, after many days. As he was either in the cultivation world or in the trial world. He had not slept for many days. He had been struggling in both worlds. Maybe his body was getting rest, but not his brain. Mentally, he was not free and tired. The old man had seen through it and made him sleep the very second, that was not the only thing he does. The old man even gifter Oden a precious gift. He will only get to know when he wakes up.
When the old man had attacked Oden, he thought he was dead. Oden will be happy to see himself wake and fine after, he wakes up. Plus the new gift from the old man will make him quite excited. There was no way Oden could wake up before completing his whole sleep. As the old man cast his deep sleeping spell. Even when he was sleeping, he was murmuring something.
