Chapter 17 - 17

One Month Later…

"Where is the contract?" I received the text from Nezha in the afternoon. I couldn't help smiling. "John, John come fast," I called. He rushed in to see if something had happened only to see my foolishly smiling face. "cancel my schedules for today. I will be busy. Get me the contract prepared for the scriptwriter." I told him. John gave me a screwed up look and walked out shaking his head.

I got up and rushed out to go home and get ready. After she left, I knew she was taking her own time to accept the reality. I waited, hopefully. And I have received this text a month later. I sent her a message taking her quotes from the book she left me two years back.

'Do you know, sometimes even when life passes like a wind somewhere stroking your hair, touching your eyelids with its soft cold lips and leaving that moment of feeling behind, just to feel all those again, even if it lasts only a minute, I will look for it, I will look for you, everywhere like mad until I know that you have felt the same for me. Not to surrender, not to cry, but only to never leave again, to hold on and take chances to win in the strange, scary and lonely world I'm sure will wreck me more without you.. <3'

Waiting nervously for a minute I got the reply back. "quote thief  ." I didn't want anything else at this moment. And I knew things are back to normal and I really have a chance with this most difficult woman.

I drove to her home, 'she must be somewhat living free, near the beach' I thought. When I knocked the door, she instantly opened the door. She was wearing a blue skirt and a white tank top with a white cardigan over the top. Her hair loosely done into a braid. I struggled to keep my eyes off her. She invited me in.

The house looked pretty, making obvious that girls live here, neatly arranged with pretty furniture and white curtains. I sat on the sofa as she went into the kitchen. I got up and walked around the place. An open kitchen with attached dining area. The hall and two bedrooms. 'one must be her roommates.'

She came running pulling my hands back as I was about to enter a room. "No," she said and shook her head. She was looking cute that I wanted to pinch her cheek. But I controlled and didn't. I smiled and went back to the hall and sat. she gave me coffee and cookies. "You made?" I asked her.

"Of course not. Sara and I are really bad in baking." She said. and we sat down in the sofa. I handed the contract to her. She took the pen. "Wait," I said. A sudden thought occurred to me. "take time and read and call me if you need to change anything. I will come and collect it then."

She looked confused. "Ok," she said and kept it aside. I drank the coffee and had nothing else to do. I got up and walked out. "I will leave," I said. but I honestly didn't want to. I stepped out the door and she stood in the door. "I will come and get the contract when its ready."

"Okay," she said and smiled. Air around us felt a bit tensed. I quickly leaned and gave a peck on her lips. She looked surprised and stood still. "Bye" I said smiling and turned to leave only to find Sara, her roommate catching us. I nodded to her and quietly left the place. "That's Dylan? Nezz oh my god." I could hear Sara making fun of Her. I couldn't stop myself from smiling. I felt like a teenage boy walking behind his crush. 'oh my god, what am I gonna do with myself.' I thought.
