Chapter 6 - Dear enemy

She opened her eyes as soon as she felt the gleam of the sun on her cheeks, she faced the clear blue sky and heard the sound of birds around her. She smiled warmly for a moment before jumping up in horror.

" Where am I? What is happening!" She stood up, turning around herself to know where she is. Suddenly Noah fell in front of her, from the branch of a tree above her head making her yelp in surprise.

" Shh, princess," he whispered loud enough for her to hear. "Shhh, it's me "

" I can see you but, what am I doing here? Did you kidnap me? " She pushed him away and chuckled.

Noah rolled his eyes, "Why should I steal a spoiled little princess? Am I out of my mind or something?" He smirked.

Cordelia slapped him. " I dare you to be rude to me once again and I will just…" Noah didn't let her finish her sentence and sent her in the mud. Her pretty pink dress got dirty.

" Ugh, you bastard! " she snapped and stood up and approached him in anger, but the quarrel eventually turned to play and laugh.

Suddenly, Nilsson appeared walking through the trees with a bag on his back.

" Oh, you were playing?" The prince smirked.

" Not play, just a little argument because he is a jerk, and I hate him " Cordelia hissed throwing death stares at Noah who was gesturing for Nillson that he didn't do anything.

" But, I think the queen has feelings for me." Noah chuckled, raising an eyebrow only to be smacked on the head by Cordelia who was standing next to him.

" What is in the bag?" Noah said through his chuckles as he rubbed the spot where he was hit.

Cordelia glared at him and said nothing. Nilsson smiled at the two of them and showed Noah the bag.

" Just, my stuff," Nillson stated.

"Oh right, your stuff, " Noah said tilting his head in both sides as he poked the inside of his mouth with his tongue before he sent everything along with the bag into ash with a quick move of his hand, making both Nilsson and Cordelia flinch in surprise.

" You don't need that, " Noah said as if he didn't do anything and started to walk." You two ain't coming?"

Nilsson and Cordelia looked back and forth at each other then looked over at Noah, they nodded and started to follow him.

Noah started to walk through a village. It was the closest village to the castle. He took a deep breath and looked over at the people who were living without knowing what great danger was getting close to them, not only them but, the whole human race.

Cordelia grabbed Noah by the shoulder, pulling him back.

" Wait a minute," she said. "what are we doing here?"

" We are walking, " Noah replied casually as if he said nothing wrong.

" Where are we going?!" she asked again as she held him by both shoulders and shook the truth of him.

" We want to find the lost forest," he finally said. " stop shaking me. I'll burn!" he tried to yank himself away from her as he felt his body's temperature increase.

" What?" she widened her eyes, not understanding what's going on.

" Seriously! Stop it!" he snapped, the sound of steam came from his body as smoke rose from his head.

" Ouch, stop! " he groaned.

Cordelia stopped pulling her hands back, as dark steam came out of his head then stopped. He sighed,

" Never do that again, " Noah threatened.

Cordelia chuckled " It was fun. Still, I don't think there is a lost jungle."

" But I told you everything about it, and why it got lost!" Noah said ready to argue again at any moment.

" No one cares, Noah," Cordelia said not feeling interested.

"When you humans die, you'll care enough." He said over his shoulder.

"We? Then what are you?" Nillson asked as he talked for the first time since they started walking, pulling out his sword from its sheath. Noah chuckled.

"Easy big guy, just joking. I am human, looking at my face. " Noah stated pointing towards his face that displayed a wide faked smile.

" Cordelia, you need to believe it, or we are all screwed! Cause if you want it so much, then it will appear, " he assured her. Cordelia's blue eyes darken, she held her head low.

" I want to believe," she said in a small voice. " it's just hard, " she took a deep breath, looked over at Nilsson. He smiled gently, then 3 of them started to go through the village. They passed by a child who didn't look older than four years old, as soon as he saw them, he approached them.

"Noah?" He asked innocently, and surprisingly, Noah shook his head.

"I am Adam, and they are my siblings, we work in the castle, and we got back just now." Noah lied easily.

The little boy nodded and walked away. As Nilsson was about to talk, Noah gestured for him to stay silent.

He led Cordelia and Nilsson to a wooden cabin. With a wooden door, and no inhabitants. Noah opened the door using the spell.

"Baz shoo!" Noah cried out.

The door vanished, and a large hole appeared behind it. Cordelia took a deep breath with anxiety and looked at Nilsson hesitantly. Nilsson nodded his head in approval, and they followed Noah into the abandoned hut.

Upon entering the Dark Hut, it was as if they had entered another world.

A large palace, even larger than Cordelia's Palace, appeared in front of them. A magnificent palace with tall chandeliers, royal portraits, carved purple sofas, and a golden staircase that connected the ground floor to the top floors.

"Who are you?" Cordelia asked in disbelief as she scanned her surroundings.

"You like it, right? Princess,'" Noah whispered in her ear, teasingly.

"Seriously," Cordelia said, looking into his eyes innocently.

"Noah, you'll get to know me, " he winked at her.

" Fine, I have a Castel too! Big deal? Come, Nilsson," he said raising his hands in protest when he saw that Cordelia wasn't buying what he was saying. " We should plan something."

Cordelia frowned, " there is no seat for me!"

" You get some tea," Noah said and smiled at her.

" I won't do that cause I'm a girl! " Cordelia protested.

" Just go, princess" Noah raised an eyebrow. Cordelia walked away.

" So, who was the little boy? Why was he alone? " Nillson said as he sat at the large wooden table.

" He wasn't little, he is bigger than the biggest man you know," Noah stated. "he is 120 years old. "

" Wow," Nillson exclaimed. "why he was little then?"

"Idiot, he refaced! All beasts can do that! " Noah said rolling his eyes.

" Why was he after you? " Nillson asked curiously.

" Shh, stop talking about me," he stopped him from questioning any further. " concentrate on your weak queen." He gestured at the kitchen with his head.

Nilsson nodded, he doesn't trust Noah at all. He seemed weird, kind, and brutal at the same time. Which was uncomfortable for him.

" How can we trust you, though?" Nilsson furrowed his brows.

" Just do." He shrugged.

Cordelia got in with wine.

"There is no tea there. " Cordelia put the tray on the table; a chair appeared for her to sit.

" Wow, Noah!" She exclaimed as she sat down on the chair that magically appeared there.

" Don't embarrass yourself!" Noah mocked. " You should be able to make yourself invisible by this age!"

Cordelia frowned her brows, her hands clenching into fists next to her.

Nilsson slapped him, " Stop annoying her! "

"I'm trying to help you two," he said narrowing his eyes. " if you don't want, then leave. "

Nilsson stood up. " I'm a prince I get orders from no one, especially the likes of you, stable boy, " he made sure to make the title stand out.

Noah scoffed, with a small gesture of his hand, he made Nillson dance with his index finger in his nose. Noah laughs loudly, then he set him free.

" I'm not a common stable boy," Noah said, finally answering his question. " Although you are a common prince, " he winked at Cordelia then opened the map.

"This is our kingdom, this place here is north where the beasts are living at the moment, and here between the north and where humans are, it used to be an enormous jungle, with witches and wizards, this jungle was a school for beginners. Eventually, when the war got worst and the last queen died, no human dared to go to the jungle of the witches, and no beasts could go there because they stuck in the walls that they had inadvertently built around them with human corpses. So, the school closed, and witches and wizards disappeared "

" Then, How am I a half-blood?" she muttered, annoyed.

" The reason is the child who was in that room when the beast was killing your mother. "

" What do you mean? Explain to us more." Cordelia said, as she was finally getting her curiosity poked.

"I was in my mother's belly when she put her index finger on your mother's forehead to kill her. When she transferred death energy from herself to your mother, she took my power away and gave it all to you. So, when I got there, and I showed no sign of magic, they burned my mother. They wanted to do the same to me, but my father took me away, where they never could reach me." He confessed in despair.

Cordelia and Nilsson replied in unison, " Human's kingdom "

Noah nodded.
