Chapter 7 - 7. Brute Arrogante

**********<Recap>**********

I'll have to inquire with the others if I could go and make sure my family was okay and worry free.

As I lay in the bed kindly offered to me by my newly found friends I couldn't help but wonder how the Alpha guy was like. Was he as stupidly hot as the other guys? Was he scary? Maybe he had scars and that's why the others were so petrified of him?

I guess today wore me out so much I was slowly dosing off,

As the darkness engulfed me into its awaiting arms I couldn't help but think

'Every cloud has a silver-lining'

Or so I thought

**********<End of Recap>**********

I groaned moving away from the incessant light that was currently trying its level best to blind my irises beneath my eyelids as I slept. I wonder what's so fascinating about these translucent curtains when they can't even do the one thing they should be doing, keeping the light out the room while I tried to sleep for heavens sake! All that glitters ain't gold now that's for sure.

I hugged giving up trying to trying to get back the sleep which was wrongfully snatched away from me. I shamelessly practiced my deranged cat like stretching that was not at all appealing to look at but hey, who's watching?

I made my way to the joint bathroom, closing it behind me and locking it. Reflex.

Stripping off all articles of clothing I had on, I stepped into the the shower, adjusting the nozzle until fairly hot water cascaded down my body instantly relaxing my muscles.

Squeezing a load full of shampoo into my palm, I lathered the nest over my head as it began matting down to my skin in knots. Lord!

I quickly took a comb and softly ran it through my locs from the ends to the roots to ensure no unnecessary breakages take place. I rinsed it out as I repeated the same process but now I had exchanged the shampoo with conditioner after I rubbed some body wash onto the new loofah that was sat in the small shower compartment. I stood under the warm water for a while longer letting it cascade over me as I tried to completely relax my muscles and prevent my thoughts from wandering to all events that took place the day before but it was near impossible.

I walked into the room to find a few outfits carefully placed on the bed.

'Must've been the girls' I thought to myself with a small smile. I walked over and pulled on a white tight top which I tucked into blue a denim skirt together with a pair of white sneakers. I sat by the vanity mirror as I tied my hair up into a neat ponytail. I looked into the mirror, the one thing I was dreading. I look like I've been dragged to and from hell on a deranged donkey, cuts and bruises littering my body. Man! They did make a master piece, with my face as the canvas.

I sign, dragging my eyes away from the painful image that pours out of the mirror when I look into it.

I jumped as a sudden loud bang and crush coming from somewhere in the house. What is going on?

I rushed to the door, opening and slowly stepping into the beautifully decorated hallway. The walls in grey and white patterns with golden accents. Expensive looking vases and green plants decorating each corner of the hall, artwork hanging along the walls, paintings of wolves and dragons.

Trailing the aesthetic art, I lift my hand and brush my fingers delicately against the frame of a huge black wolf with the most mesmerizing, striking silver eyes. The picture was pulling me towards it, it intrigued me. Somehow.

As I was about to bring my fingers higher to further analyze the masterpiece in front of me

I heard another crash and yelling, to which was enough to knock me out of my daze. I raced down the stairs to see what the commotion is about but you know what they say 'curiosity killed the cat'

As I drew nearer to the ferment, I couldn't help but feel a powerful force pulling me towards the noise, head first. Unarmed.

I peeked into the kitchen where all the ruckus was coming from. There I saw Kael, Cam, Nessa and Eva standing there facing a figure I am yet to make out. He seems to be the one shouting at them and I can't help but wonder if it's because of me.

"You brought a human into MY house?" Yup he's definitely furious.

"Answer me!" His voice boomed sending shivers down my spine. His voice, so dominating, strong and in command. There's absolutely nothing gentle about his rough guttural voice.

Every one of my new friends seemed appalled to even look up at the man with the baritone voice. Having had enough of their silence He moved forward in a swift manner and grabbed Cam by the collar effortlessly lifting him slightly off the floor. As he raised his hands two whimpers? sounded within the room.

I looked behind me to see what made the noise but before I could I heard a loud thud as Cam was dropped clumsily onto the tiled floor, a scream rang through the kitchen and it took me a while to realize that it was my own. I cautiously looked up only to see all eyes on me, including striking grey? No not grey, his eyes aren't grey they are a striking shade of silver, brilliant but with a dark aura, dangerous, remained were the sparks of the blacksmiths fire, ones of a predictor and I was his prey as his eyes peered into mine.

"MATE!!" He all but growled, I shuffled backwards startled by the guttural sound. Growled??? Mate?? I don't know him, I can't be his 'friend'

What is going on here? People growl now? Is that what we're doing now? Growling

Everyone wore their shock on their faces except for him. He had an emotionless face going on for him. I probably looked like a confused cockroach because why not? I'm confused at the moment.

Silver-eyed man took a single step towards me and I flinched back, taking two steps back. Anger flashed in his irises as he growled and slammed his tight fist against the kitchen counter leaving a huge dent in it. Everyone in the room tensed up as he turned his back to us and stormed out the door like the hurricane of a man he is.

An awkward silence fell upon the room as everyone was trying to process what on earth just happened. I just stood there paralyzed, with my back against the wall.

"Flip!" Nessa whispered. "Now that, that was intense". She walked to me and grabbed my hands into her long soft ones.

"Are you okay babes?" She cautiously asked me clearly trying to not scare the last bit of soul out of me.

"I-I um-mmm I'm g-good," barely a whisper left my mouth as I stood there wide eyed and just straight up shocked.

"Damn!" Cam signed, "I didn't think he would find her".

Hmmm? "Find her, who?"

"His mat...," before he could finish his sentence a harsh slap was delivered to the back of his head.

I trailed the big hand attached to Cams head and almost broke down in fits of laughter but THIS want the time.

"Who was he?" I asked, it was barely a whisper. How they heard me. I have no idea but they did. All of them.

"He's the Alp.. " and yet again Cam was rudely interrupted but another strike to his head.

"Heyyyyy!!!" Cam whined. "What was that for?" He scowled at Eva playfully who ignored him and looked at me with a shaky smile

"He ummm he's...," she search her mind and finally let out. "Our boss?" Sounded more like a question than an answer to me but I let it go deciding i shouldn't impose.

"Um okay?" I replied.

"Let's head upstairs shall we?" Nessa suggested with a smile. "The boys will stay back and clear up this mess". Groans filled the room and I honestly couldn't help but giggle away.

I was whisked away into one of the which I presume belongs to Eva due to flowery scent that waft in my nostrils as soon as I walked into the room.

The flowers and plants loitering the room definitely pinned the room to her. Her room was quite big, the walls right and left were black lined with white, the other two walls were tiled with grays. Root plants lined across all four corners of the walls with artificial flowers littering them, but I have a feeling the vine plant too is artificial and heavily scented too.

"Wow" I exclaimed as I jumped onto the plush deep ruby couch besides the huge window as the others settled right besides me, both sandwiching me between them.

"Are you okay, love?" Eva asked as she held onto my hand. Adjusting herself to seat facing my direction.

"I'm Oka.."

"No I mean, really, How are you?"

"I-I'm o-o," I stuttered as I recalled the terror that stung my body frozen.

The words would not escape past my lip as they refused to yet again lie about my emotion. I sat there, unshed tears threatening to break free, trembling limbs, mouth agape, I practically resembled a fish out of water.

"Awe, sweetie," Nessa gathered me into her arms and Eva followed right after. Then, I let the out.

All of them.

The feelings I've been holding back for so long I left the all out as I cried within the warmth of their embrace

"Shhh, let it out," Eva whispered. "Let it all out".

"You've been so brave, Storm," Nessa soothed. "You've been through far too much, you are strong, don't ever forget that,"

The door to Eva's room aggressively bust open, well ripped from its hinges to be more specific if I must.

A very very very furious male stood by the door, drenched from head to toe. His raging eyes, a striking silver. Brilliant and bright also lethal and dark. His gaze piercing, iced and unforgiving, an untold story within the depths of his silvery pools. They lure me in. Intriguing!

The door closing with the bang brought me out of my revelation as those eyes shrunk in size as the narrowed at me and disappeared from view. Loud furious footsteps retreated from the door not before a harsh kick was graced upon it.

What's his problem?

I felt a kiss upon the temple of my head and a dulcet voice whispered comforting words successfully lulling me to sleep in the arms of two strangers who quickly turned to family in a space of a few days.

The mellow rays of the sun lightly touch my face awakening me from my much needed slumber. A dull throb gnawing between my eyebrow as I draw them together. I bring my hand up to cover my eyes only to have another slam against my cheek.

I yelped and jumped off the bed in shock to see Eva doing the exact same thing.

I stood there staring in utter shock as Nessa had successfully spread herself out on the bed like a starfish in deep sleep. My gaze traveled up to see Eva rubbing her arm shaking her head at Nessa sleeping form.

"I will never get used to this, ever!" She grumbled. Okay! She's not that much of a morning person.

"Did she get you too?" She asked as she crossed the bed to get to me.

"Just a little sting," I lowly chuckled at the end.

"There's absolutely NOTHING little about that," she whisper yelled.

"Hmmm?" I asked dumbly as she dragged me to the bathroom.

Two words... Super Strong

With her height and her petite body, I'd never have guessed that she'd pull me around like a piece of paper!!!

She stood me in front of the bathroom mirror. I pulled myself together as I slowly lifted my gaze to my reflection.

There I stood, Big brown eyes swollen outlined in red, a scolding pink blush across my puffed out cheeks and nose. All results of me wailing last night, pouring all emotions to the night as the gentle breeze carried my cries to the moon.

"Geez talk about aftermath," I said as I looked away and grabbed my toothbrush and got to work.

"You can say that again,"Eva giggled. "You look so cute, like a bunny rabbit".

"A What!??" My voice rose in volume as I starred her down unimpressed.

"Ummm neeeverr gonnna teeell," she sang as she skipped out of the bathroom gleefully.

What just happened?

You know what no, not even going to think of it.

I finished getting ready in the bathroom followed by the other two girls. Once we were all done we headed downstairs for breakfast.

"I'm so so so sorry," Nessa repeated for the hundredth time since she noticed the redness on my cheek.

"It's okay Ness, it's already forgotten," I patted her shoulder softly.

"Right, and I'd love to see your brothers face when he sees your handy work," Eva sniggered earning a firm slap on the shoulder from Nessa.

"You deserved that," Nessa told Eva who all but pouted and slammed her hip into Nessa's. Before Nessa could register what had just happened Eva bolted for the kitchen.

"Ohhhh," Nessa dragged. "Now she's going to get it".

Nessa chased after Eva as I rushed helplessly after them with only one thought living rant free within my mind.

The silver-eyed Adonis look-a-like.

Upon entering the kitchen, I see Eva hiding behind Kael as Cam was holding back Nessa as though her strength compared to his was absolutely nothing. Okay what's with the weirdly strong people and immensely powerful aura surrounding them especially the growling silver-eyed Adonis. There something about his aura that demands respect and asserts outmost command and control.

"What happened to you?" Cams voice drew me out of my thoughts as I focused back on the current situation which seems to have dispersed while I was caught up in a stupor.

"Your Mate happened," Eva smiled triumphantly as Cam settled a scolding gaze upon Nessa's sitting form as she smiled shyly.

"I told her it was fine," I said drawing everyone's attention back to me. "It's all done and dusted, she was asleep I understand".

"Uh huh," Kael said hesitantly.

"Wait, Eva by the stairs you said Nessa has a brother right?" I asked Eva to which she gave a nod.

"Oh where is her?" I looked at Nessa. "He must be as nice as you are."

Everyone on the table looked at each other and bust out laughing.

"What?" I looked around. "is there something on my face?"

"No love, it's just that you said Nessa brother was nice and yet he is anything but".

"Why'd you said that?" I asked suddenly intrigued.

"He's controlling," Eva rolled her eyes.

"He's always serious, like always," Nessa chimed in.

"You really should be talking about him like th...," Kael froze looking directly behind me. I turned around ever so slowly only to be greeted with narrowed silver eyes.

The silver-eyed Adonis.

He wore his emotionless face quite well.

"Mention the wind and the hurricane arrives,"I softly whisper shakily.

"What do you mean?" Nessa asks as she slightly glances towards the door only to look back so fast I vow this girl almost gave me whiplash.

"Why's he here? now?" Nessa begrudgingly whispered.

"Because it's my house," a steely gruff voice replied.
