Since Natasha just finished doing her school assignments, she leaped and then intended to fall on her bed. She wanted to play Among Us, so she unlocked her phone and then tapped the app. As much as she didn't want to play in the public lobbies, she had no choice because she had no friends to play with.
Liam might be busy and so was Cassie. Besides, even if the three of them played Among Us in the private lobby, it wouldn't be entertaining because it was easy to suspect the impostor and win as a crewmate or it could be vice-versa. She could only hope that the people in the public lobby would stay or wouldn't quit in the early game at least.
She wanted to join in the public lobby where a lot of people joined, so she wouldn't have to wait for long if she joined in a public lobby where few people were. 10 people joined the public lobby, so the creator of the lobby immediately started the game. Their roles were given once the five seconds countdown was over.
She was glad that she became a crewmate because being an impostor would just make her nervous. One of the impostors sabotaged the lights, so she went on her way to the electrical to fix the lights, but then she passed by someone who used 'Bread' as their display name. She suspected someone must have died in the electrical, so she went above to check if there was a dead body, and indeed there was.
She tapped the report button to hold an emergency meeting. She reasoned out what she had found out, but the others didn't believe her since the lights were out and there was another possibility that the impostor vented, so accusing Bread made her look suspicious that the others voted her out. She couldn't believe that she was out, but she still had her suspicion that Bread was the impostor.
She didn't leave the game yet because she would do her task to win along with the crewmate and she wanted to see if her suspicion about Bread was true. She groaned when she found out that Bread wasn't the impostor and it was the other one who acted like a real crewmate. It was a nice game, so she had fun.
She saw someone sent a message, so she tapped to see the full details, and she found out that it was from Liam. She gasped and sat bolt upright at the same time when she realized that she hadn't prepared something for him as thanks for being her friend. She had no time to waste, so she wore her slippers, slammed her door open, descended the stairs, and then went to the kitchen.
She opened the fridge and the cabinets if there were ingredients she could use to bake cookies. She was relieved there were or else she would waste her time to shop outside. She started to gather the ingredients for baking the cookies.
She wasn't confident if she could bake a decent cookie, but she would try not to create a poisonous cookie, unlike Diana. In a small bowl, she mixed the flour, baking soda, and salt. She was about to get the large bowl when she heard Bryan called her name, so her attention went to him.
"You're making cookies, I see," Bryan went near to Natasha. "Do you crave cookies today, Dear?"
She contemplated whether she should lie or not, but she wouldn't want to lie to Bryan, so decided to tell the truth. "Oh, I'm not, Pops. It's a token of my appreciation for a friend."
Bryan noticed that Natasha worded friend instead of best friend. He assumed that she must mean someone else, not Cassie. "A friend?"
She nodded. "Yes, Pops. For a friend."
Bryan had a suspicion that the friend Natasha was referring to was Liam. "Is that the friend that Honey met?"
She didn't drop the name of her friend, so she assumed that Bryan asked just to make sure if his suspicion was correct. "Yes, Pops."
Bryan smiled and then patted the head of Natasha. "You're very kind, Dear. So I wish that your friend would return that kindness of yours."
She smiled. "Oh, I bet that friend will, Pops."
Bryan hoped that would happen. "Make sure that friend will even if it's a small thing."
She nodded. "Trust me that friend will, Pops."
Bryan looked at what Natasha had prepared for baking the cookies. "You should mix the butter and sugar well."
She took note of that. "All right, I will."
Bryan smiled. "I'm sure the cookies you'll make will turn out well, Dear."
She was glad to hear that. "Yes, it will, Pops. Your words work like a charm."
