Chapter 10 - Chapter 8:  To go or not to go?!?.

The whole group glanced at each other and started to smile, to my shook, I even saw a small smile playing on Brittney's lips. The whole group looked like someone had brought up a precious memory to them.

"The place they are talking about is…-" Skye started but was cut of by a very exciting Lily jumping up and down in her seat screaming.

"The Academy! The Blessed Sword Academy!"

===============

"A school?" I asked a bit confused about the place they so highly recommended.

"Ohh but it's not just any school, the Academy is a place of freedom, it's a sanctuary, a home, and a place where you can be yourself!!" Lily said a hyped and happy. You could see that she really loved that place.

*A home…*

"What Lily meant by a sanctuary is that the Academy is located in the sacred ground, owned by no kingdom or race, making it a place without a power struggle. It's a place where anyone can attend whatever the race or statue, but you must first be examined by the school and the Chairman.

You can learn nearly everything there, like martial arts, magic, history, communication, you name it. They have the best facility and best resources, even some of the most advanced and complicated stuff. They also help the student to control their powers and help us to develop as an individual. Preparing us for the future.

The Blessed Sword Academy is a very respected place that every kingdom acknowledges. The Chairman was even titled the most wisest and respected man in this world, no one wants to be on his bad side.

Even though the Academy does not necessarily discriminate against the students by race or status.

Does it not guarantee that you would get admitted, just because you applied there, especially this late into the semester. " Skye said while giving the other a knowing look, hinting about the last part.

"It might be hard, but not impossible! If we just talk with the Chairman, he will understand and surely know what to do in this situation. And like Tay said the best place to hide her from the world is there. No one can touch her with the principal's protection!" Emma said while looking pleading to Skye and the others.

"Why would I need their protection?" I asked confused.

"It's because of you being the unknown type. Like we said before, many judges them to be dangerous and unnatural. Some people tend to even take it one step further, by hunting them for horrible reason like-"

"Wait! Should we really tell her about that part!" Nick asked Sam a bit worried.

"Nick she deserves to know, or she has to know, so she can protect herself from those who wants to harm her. " Sam said with a serious expression to Nick. She then looked at everyone, checking if anyone would have something more to say, before she turned to me to continue.

"To be an unknown type is quite a hassle for many reasons. One is that people want to hunt them for their uniqueness and turn them into lab rat to experiment on.

Second is that other view of them for being dangerous and unnatural freak, making people want to either exterminate them or use them for power.

So yeah, you could say that whole worlds want you either dead or has one of their puppet. Making me agree with Lily and Em about taking her with us." Sam said looking to Skye who was rubbing her temples again.

*Either dead or a puppet huh*.

I could feel a hard lump build in my throat, by the thought of being experimented on or worst killed, because of who I was.

"But how will we get her admitted, she does not have a family or background, making her look suspicious and an easy target to discover. And not to forget, harder for her to get admission, they won't let just anyone in, you must deserve it." Caine said in thought.

The whole group were in deep thought, thinking out a way.

*I am such a burden to them!*

The black hole in me just grew more and more, like it was slowly suffocating me.

"You not a burden to us Rose, it was our choice to help you and it's quite the opposite, really. We are more thankful for you to accept our help even though you don't know us at all, you trust in us is all we need, it's all about trust, y'know." Nick said, replying to the thought I must have said out loud!

The whole group nodded with agreement, giving me warm smiles. The black hole in me vanished instantly when I saw the group belief in me, that they did not see me has a burden. I felt the tears gather in my eyes, threatening to fall. This people...

"Hey, before all of you run a mile ahead, aren't you going to ask the new girl if she even wants to go, you can't just force her to go there." Brittney asked bored and irritated by all of this. You could even see the glint of hope in her eyes, wanting me to refuse to go.

Everyone turned to me in anticipation, waiting for my reply. I started to think about all the choices, not wanting to make any hasty decisions. Asking to think about it was out of the question, seeing all or mostly all of them, eagerly waiting for a reply.

*Should I go…*

Maybe if I go to the academy I might have a chance to unveil all the secrets that surrounds me and maybe, just maybe find a place that I can call home. But the most important reason is that I have to survive, and the best place for now, is there.

*I might be able to learn to protect myself there, both physical and psychological. I have to become stronger!*

I felt the necklace start to become warm against my skin. Like it urged me to go, telling me it's the right choice.

*Then...maybe I should go with the flow, first survive in this world and then discover more about myself, step by step.*

Making up my mind, nodded to the group. Who mostly jumped in joy. Brittney looked at me in disgust, before she walked out of the room.

"But that does not solve the admission problem, we can't just enrol her as an unknown, it will be too eye-catching." Caine said yet again raising that issue.

"You know, I might have a solution for that, it will be hard, but doable. My father is owing me a favor, and making a letter of recommendation is not that hard for him. Giving her an identity has a distant relative will not make people confront her that easily. I will tell him about your situation, except the fact of you being an unknown, that I will keep to myself." Skye said with a smirk.

*Who is her father? Is he that powerful!*

"Okay, her admission and fake Identity is fixed, but how about…oh I don't know maybe her not having a SCENT!!! Every beast type will smell that she is different from miles away!!" Caine said dramatically

It felt wired how he pointed out that everyone would smell my scent, a bit creeped out about that thought.

*Ugh…Yuck*

"That we can fix, but I will need our little wonder maker here to mix up a spell or a potion, to make her a scent or a way for people to not notice her 'uniqueness'. Do you think you are up to the task Lily?" Taylor said raising one eyebrow and looking to a now thinking Lily.

"Yosh! I think will be able to make up something!" Lily said all cute, with one hand like a fist over her open palm.

"Then I will leave that to you." Taylor said giving Lily a pat on the head while he walked toward the door.

I almost thought that this man was not that bad. Almost.

"Oh by the way, if you must make her smell like something, I would recommend the scent of a cat, scratch that, make it a wild cat." I could feel my lip tighten in a thin line at his comment. Burning hole into the back of his skull.

*I take back everything I said before of him being a nice guy. Hmp.*

I could hear Nick burst out in laughter, asking what that was all about, obviously not getting an answer from anyone, especially me, he started to pout. Caine also started to move toward the door saying that he had to prepare or something, making the whole group follow his lead and split.

I decided to head back to my room for now, to rest a bit. Emma offered to walked me back to my room, who I did absolutely not turn down. This place where like a maze, once you are lost...your lost. On our walk back, I started to think about the stuff that came up under the previously conversations. Thinking it's best to ask her now that I had the chance.

"Hey Em… What did Skye mean about you all leading people in the future?" I asked Emma who were taken aback by the question.

"Oh...about that…"
