Liraz followed Niels. They were both tense and Neils' was in shock not knowing how to communicate with Liraz. 'It will not be long until we make it back.' said Niels' whilst focused on figuring how to make it back to base.
'It is ok. You do realise the whole of Earth's existence relies on this talk going well don't you?' Asked Liraz in a mocking tone.
Niels was worried how similar the creature was to humans, could it really be such a coincidence or is there a secret past forgotten that links them together. 'Let's go slightly faster, we can make it within 3 minutes now.' Niels instructed.
Now calm and with more confidence, Niels asked: 'why do you want to work with us? can you not explore space alot?'
'2 groups exploring seperatly can cover the same area in half the time. With the scale of planets we are looking to be exploring any kind of help or extra resources is vital to use.' said Liraz.
The two now arrived back at base, where the others rested.
Niels entered with Liraz tailing behind.
Niels shouted for everyone to gather for an emergency meeting. The other 3 quickly ran into the main room and they all turned white with fear. No one could process what they were seeing and Asher was on the verge of losing consciousness from fear.
'What is happening ... What are you?' asked Rosalind. No one could comprehend what they were seeing, Even Niels still struggled.
Liraz looked around to scan the room and then begun to speak. 'I am Liraz, I am not from Mars or your planet Earth. I was sent here after monitoring Earth for quite some time now. I am on a mission to negotiate with you all. We have observed the behaviour of the key figures in your life and know there needs to be a reform. They do not represent the average man and look down on people below them. However, not all is bad, we do believe that your sense of community stands out and it could help us exploring space.' said Liraz. He looked around, with no purpose but to pass time until a response was given.
'Well, I guess we should hear what you want hell with. What is in it for us? We can make a decision on behalf of Earth but we will give our opinions.' Said Rosalind.
'Yes, I do not think aliens will be liked by the public. Working with you will be difficult unless the majority can agree. I believe it would benefit us all if we worked together, however I hold no say in what will happen.' said Albert.
'Aliens... Coming to Mars has changed me. If more people take part in terraforming Mars we will be able to comfortably expand and improve everything. People will get a second chance to chase their dreams. I think we should work together.' said Asher.
Liraz felt relief. To be accepted so easily by the team was unexpected. However the chance of Liraz engagin the public on Earth is still small. Will the government be able to control the effects of announcing an extra terrestrial?
The public's reaction will be pivotal to the collaboration on Mars. Will they make the right decision?
