Samuel's tone was full of hope, without arrogance and solemnity, as fragile as a child's.
Especially his last two words, he said them in a slightly trembling tone.
Erika wanted to refuse, the words were already in her mouth. But seeing him so weak, she couldn't bear to let them out.
Samuel swallowed his throat and forcefully changed the subject. "Do you like that bunch of flowers?"
Erika glanced at it lightly, nodded, and said nothing.
The two of them sat quietly and they could see each other. However, they didn't know what to say.
After a long silence, Erika took some warm water on the table and took a spoon out of the plastic bag. "I heard you haven't eaten since last night?"
Samuel replied, "I couldn't see you, that's why I have no appetite!"
Erika looked at him helplessly. "Why didn't I notice that you were this childish before?"
"That's a fact, because I always like it when you feed me!"
