Since the last time he and Anette met, Alan had not contacted her again in the past three days.
And Anette never contacted him either!
Alan glanced at his watch. It's still around 12 noon. He wondered whether he had to get rid of his anger and called her to have lunch together.
Even though men got angry sometimes, and if they really cared about their women, they wouldn't care about the so-called self-respect and dignity.
For now, Alan didn't want a cold war with Anette anymore.
He thought for a while, and his body was already reacting faster than his brain.
The call had been made, and the waiting beep could be heard clearly in the silent office.
After half a minute, the phone hung up automatically.
Anette didn't answer!
Alan tried to call again.
This time, Anette picked it up. With the sound of high heels stomping on the ground, her tone was slightly anxious as she asked, "Do you need anything?"
