"There are no lifeboats here. If the floods get in, we can all die here," said Anya.
"Are you telling me to leave you in such danger? Snap out of it," Aiden insisted.
Anya looks at the farm from outside the window. Even though the flood was already quite high and some of the crops were washed away, some still survived.
"Aiden, have someone pick you up. I'll wait two days here. If the water doesn't recede, you pick me up. At that time, I will go with you." Anya felt her throat tighten as she wanted to continue.
