The temperature in the room suddenly felt cold. Dio's hair stood on end as he stared into Aiden's cold eyes. He unwittingly lowered his head, as if hiding his guilt. He did not dare to say another word.
"Dio, people around this estate may find you dead on the roadside from alcohol poisoning tomorrow morning," Aiden said coldly.
"Are you threatening me because I'm telling the truth?" Dio panicked at Anya and begged for help, "Anya, you have to help me. I don't want to die!"
"If you don't tell the truth, it doesn't look like you will have time to order your own coffin," Aiden glanced at his bodyguard. Before the guards did Aiden's order, he had pulled Anya's body into his arms and covered her ears.
Anya still heard punches and kicks, but she couldn't hear Dio's screams at all.
Since they didn't want to scare Anya and didn't want to disturb the servants at home, Aiden's guards stuffed a cloth in Dio's mouth so that he couldn't scream.
