Day Two
The tranquility of the sea murmurs in the air with a hint of salt as the coconut trees sways, and sea eagles hover in the dawning sky. I stood in the balcony looking at the sea with a cup of coffee. I place both my palms on the mug to keep me warm, while staring at the sea that beats like a human heart every time it crashes on the shore.
I closed my eyes as my fingers tighten around the mug. The sickening nightmare that instantly woke me up quarter to five in the morning was like someone pounding on my head, telling me to wake the hell up. I wanted to, and yet I wanted it to somehow last forever. Because sometimes only in my dreams I find happiness than facing reality cold and alone.
