I step forward and stood straight to get a better view.
The dress hugged every curve of my body perfectly, it was as if the dress was entirely made for me.
I could feel tears slowly forming. My chest tightens as I reach over the mirror, imagining it was my mom, looking at me. I savored the moment as I stare.
"Wow, you look rather divine, my dear. You also look like your mother." My Grandpa appeared out of nowhere who's leaning on the doorframe, with a warm smile.
"Thanks, grandpa." I grinned.
"So, are you going to prom? With who?" He asked.
"No, it's just for our dance presentation."
"Is that so? Well then. Do your best." He smiled and gave me a thumbs up.
"I will."
He cleared his throat, then said. "Can grandpa have a hug?" He asked.
I smile and nodded. He opened his arms wide as I walk closer to hug him.
We both hugged each other, while grandpa smoothens my head.
