My brain couldn't absorb the book in my hand, reading every word, but my mind keeps traveling back in time last week, pondering about Dylan still hunted every nerve cell in my body. I placed the book down beside me and gaze at the ceiling, with Dylan in my mind.
A knock came from the door and it flew open.
"Livie, Caleb's here." Granny said, grinning.
Caleb appeared behind Granny and he waved a hand at me. I gaze at him with wide incredulous eyes. I sat up. What in the crap is he doing here?
Granny smiled. "Feel free to be at home Caleb. It's been so long since you've been here. Now you guys are all teens making trouble." Granny said, shaking her head. "Well guys I'll leave you two alone, I'll be downstairs helping gramps with something." Granny winked at me before she left, keeping the door wide open. Why did she winked at me? What's the meaning behind it?
