I was surprised when she had told me about the doctor's visit and was even more so when she asked me to accompany her into the office. I was giddy like a child who has just been permitted to go out after being grounded for quite some time.
She looked at me again and I took her hand in mine and squeezed it, she took a deep breath and looked the doctor in the eye and said, "Doctor Carter, we would like to do an ultrasound."
"Alright," the doctor replied and typed a couple of things on his computer. "Right now? Or would you prefer to come back at a later date?"
She looked at me again before she spoke, "Right now if it is possible."
"It might take a while as we need to prepare you for the ultrasound. I hope that is fine," we nodded in unison then he pressed something and the nurse immediately opened the door. "The nurse here would take you to where you need to go for the ultrasound and tell you all that you need to do."
