I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing that hasn't happened in a while I usually woke up before the alarm. I must have slept really well. I got out of bed and didn't leave my bedroom until I was fully dressed and ready to go to work. I didn't want to appear looking like a drool queen to the poor guest though I have expected him to have left already. It was not that I cared about what he thought, I cared about what I looked like.
He wasn't anywhere in the living room when I got there. The kitten wasn't in the cage, apparently, she had found a comfortable spot on my soft foot rug. I walked to the kitchen hopefully I could get breakfast and also take some to work.
"Good morning Stacey," he said to me as soon as I entered the kitchen.
"Allen! Don't scare me like that."
"Jeez, someone woke up on the wrong side of bed." I noticed that he still had his back to me, only a brief head turn was the only part of his front I could see.
