I was going nuts, almost three months later and all I can think of was a certain Miss Williams. She had left abruptly, too abruptly. I had been worried at first but when I noticed she had checked out herself without so much as leaving a letter or number. I knew I was the only one who had thought there had been more to our time at the resort.
I had put myself into work as soon as I discovered she had left. I left the resort the same day, not wanting to be reminded about what had happened and how she would prefer I left her alone. I understood her silent message, going any further would just be me embarrassing myself. I knew better than that or so I thought.
A month later, I had ended asking the resort to get the address of a certain Miss Stacey Williams. The manager hadn't asked any questions but had simply done as I asked, he had even gone as far as to add her phone number. I had said my thanks and we had both pretended it never happened.
