I jerked but awake to a nurse peering at my face, she looked almost as startled as I was. "Sorry, if I scared you." She said and stretched her hand towards me. "How do you feel?"
At first, her question did not make any sense to me, I was still stunned and wondering what I was doing in such a room. "What happened to me?" I asked when I noticed the drip on my arm.
"You fell and hit your head," she started to say. I instinctively reached for my head and I instantly felt the bandaged bump. "The re… Sorry, the gentleman whose leg you trip over saved you from drowning. How do you feel?" She asked again.
Her explanation brought a flash glimpse of me falling to the ground but I had no memory of what happened after, at least I had an explanation as to why my clothes were missing. "Numb but other than that I'm completely fine, I think." I managed to tell her.
"That's good. Do you have a headache or any other ache, perhaps?" She asked, jotting on a pad she held.
