"How fast can you go?" She asked.
"I don't know, fast enough I guess."
"I didn't want you to expel too much energy too fast, I might not be able to watch out for you while on the lawn."
"I am sure I can handle myself if all we do is run across a field."
"For both our sakes, I hope so. Can you sense anything yet?"
"Not yet."
"Well, we are getting closer to the hotel, let me know when you sense anything we would pick up the pace then. Run as fast as you can."
"Oh alrig... Two by the east... Nevermind," I pointed instead. My thought was to say east but I realized I have absolutely no idea where east was.
"Shit! Try to keep up," she said as she increased speed.
I tried to do the same but I could barely match hers as my thighs and calves began to hurt. I knew better than to mention this to her. The last thing I wanted was to slow us down simply because I couldn't keep up.
