It sounded like a notification bell.

Hotaka thought of the footage on his tablet and multiple footages showed the map of the mansion. The room with the spider ghouls, they were diced into chunks of flesh, one by one. Whatever was doing it he couldn't see. Outside the ghouls gathered, and they all met a similar fate.
All the noise he was getting from the notifications, reminded the newly demonized Takai-san of his presence.
"Urrrrrraahhhh." Takai-san turned around.
Aside from his blackened skin, hunched back, tail, and now white eyes, and buck looking teeth…
"Pffft." A laugh escaped Hotaka. Who found the daemon even funnier looking than before.
"Y-you mean...*huffs* after all of that...*huffs* the only words you've managed *huffs* *huffs* to say are "Urrrrrr and raaaah?"
Perhaps capable of understanding, Takai-san shrieked at him in protest.
The cry was so piercing Hotaka could feel every bone inside his body vibrating along with everything in the room. Books fell off the shelf, Hotaka used one long book as an umbrella but that only meant he was still having to bear the weight of any falling books and even that proved laborious for him when it was already hard to breathe.
Takai-san wasn't going to wait around for the books to stop falling either. He lunged. His long fingernails became even longer as they stretched out towards him.
"That's as far as you go, nya!"
SHING SHING SHING!!!
It was the sound of blade against bone but Hotaka saw nothing with the fallen books around him blocking his view. He weakly pushed them off and out the way.
"Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkyraaaaaaaaaaaaah!" A wounded cry from Takai-san.
When he finally resurfaced from the pile of books, he was met with the scene of Takai's San's arms and fingernails getting filleted as if made from butter. Hotaka shielded himself with the book as the flesh and nails flew towards him, the bounced off the book in quick succession. One of the chunks fell into his lap and evaporated into dark purple mist.
