"Vario Vladismo has been rendered unconscious and is unable to continue. The winner and moving on to the next round... Ryuki Tetsuyo!!"
The crowd erupts in cheers. I sheathe my sword and leave the arena floor while some people come and grab Vario from the middle of the arena. While I'm about to walk towards the magic circle, it activates and a man emerges from it.
"You're pretty interesting. I look forward to cutting you down."
I simply ignore his remark and walk past him. I enter the waiting room and sit in one of the chairs near the corner and sit down.
(These past two years I've been so busy, I've never thought about what could be going on back home. Mom. Nishiki. They must've been worried sick. For me to just be there one day and gone the next. I wonder have I been presumed dead back in the real world? What would happen if I were to come back suddenly? I wish there was atleast some way to contact them. All of this has gotten me hungry. I should get something to eat after I leave.)
I get up and look around. Though I'm feeling hungry, I can't help but observe everyone. There's a couple of women but the majority are men. There's a group of three in one side of the room. They look like the type to try to assert dominance anywhere they go. There's two females who look to be near my age chatting on another side of the room. Everyone else is doing their own thing.
"Hey watch where you're going!"
"Oh I'm so sorry!"
"Sorry ain't gonna cut it. You see these? These are 100 gold boots that were enchanted. But you stepped on them with those piss poor boots and they're dirty. How are you going to fix this?"
(What's going on over there?)
I move over to the side a little to see one of the girls who was talking to the other one, standing in front of the three boys.
"I said I was sorry ok?! It was an accident!"
"Accident my ass! You probably did that on purpose because you're jealous you are too poor to afford something like this, aren't you? I mean look at yourself. Is that chest plate made of copper?"
"She said she was sorry. Leave her alone."
The other girl walks up to them.
"And who are you? This is between me and her. Stay out of this, you nosy bitch."
"Excuse me?!"
"You heard me! Stay out of this! Bi-"
"Can you all shut up?"
I raise my voice from the back. Everyone's attention turns to me.
"Can you save it for until after you're outside?"
"Think you're tough shit because you've beat Vario? You should shut up and know your place."
"I couldn't care less about any of that. Right now, I'm asking you to shut the hell up because you're very annoying."
"Tch! You're lucky we can't do anything in here. But that doesn't mean I can't pound your face in myself because guess what? You're my next opponent! Hahaha!"
(The deja vu.)
"Whatever. Now would you stop the disturbance?"
He doesn't say anything and leaves the room with his cronies.
"Thank you for stepping in but I don't think that was such a good idea. Even if you beat him, he's known to use his power as a royal to do dirty things."
The girl who stood up to Arnold approached me breathing a sigh of relief.
"Is that so? I'll keep that in mind."
The girl walks back over to check on the other girl who accidentally stepped on Arnold's boots.
(Anyways, time to leave this place.)
