Chapter 96 - CHAPTER 95: I will get you out of here

She nodded. "I followed the group from a distance for a few days. Hoping that Hakim, Quinte, Noah, or Rick, could help me. I am not good at rituals like this and I knew that I would not succeed on my own."

She hesitated for a moment. She bit her lip while staring at the young man who was now leaning against a wall. He answered her gaze with a mysterious grin.

"Carl eventually became insane. He was certain that you would be waiting behind every rock or tree. he kept screaming about their betrayal and how you would come for revenge."

I tilted my head in confusion. "I did not play around with him to such an extent. How could he possibly have gone mad without me even being in the same realm? And their betrayal? If I remember correctly, he was not even there."

She shrugged. "Even though I had experienced the same thing as him, I still have no idea what was going on in his mind. Anyway, the person who killed you thought that you were still influencing him and executed him. That was the moment that I stopped following the group. I wanted to ask the others to follow me, but I was scared that I would get caught and die before I could finish bringing you back."

"Do you know where they were going? Maybe we can still get them back."

"No master. I know that the group was trying to go to El Dorado. They would rest there for a few months and then venture on forward to Atlantis. They say that Atlantis has a similar crystal-based technology as Agartha and that they even have flying vehicles that are operatable under water. If they have enough people, then they would have a gigantic military advantage against the demons. But I am sure that the others would be uncertain of their safety and flee from the group."

I nodded. "And how did you get here?"

"After wandering around for a few months, I stranded in a desert. I was lost and had no idea where to go. Then these… people found me. I explained the situation and… they wanted to help. So, I performed the summoning ritual with him."

I glanced over at the idiot that was still leaning against the wall, seemingly uninterested in her story. I found that it was rather off, so I entered Beatrice's mind.

(" It is not like you to suddenly care about other people. Especially when they are rude to me or the others. You would probably have watched me corrupt Carl if I did not send you away. What is going on?!")

She was staring to panic. And I saw how she had flashbacks of when she was tortured by the demon who had claimed her before I killed it.

"What is wrong? Are you okay?" I asked her. Tough I already knew the answer. I just did it so that the man leaning against the wall would not suspect what I was really asking her.

She calmed down a little and seemed to get the hint.

( My lord, please get out of here. These people summon demons to attack them with weapons that can truly kill them. I managed to convince them that I was on their side when they captured me so that I could warn you when they would summon you. I am so sorry. Their main attack strategy is to distract the demon and kill it before it notices what is going on. I don't know how but they will be able to tell when you kill the one who is currently in the room with us. And when you do, they will probably all charge at you at once. )

Due to being in her head I knew that she was honest. Only now that she pointed it out, I noticed that there were indeed a lot of people outside. Even I could barely notice them, so I was extremely curious about how they hid from me.

("Listen. I will get you out of here and we will find the rest. You did good by bringing me back and you don't have to feel guilty about your own bad luck. Just tell me what kind of techniques they use, and I will find a way to escape.")

She nodded with tears staring to form in her eyes. The man was just now noticing that this was not just an act to distract me and blew on a horn that he carried on his hip before this.

Someone immediately kicked the door in and rushed inside with a whip made of the fur of a divine beast before Beatrice could even speak.

I had already set the entire building on fire before the man could attack.
