Chapter 5 - (Prologue) Chapter 5 - His innocence

"Oh this?" Damen held out the notorious black sachet in full innocence. (This is probably medicine)

Talia chuckled at Damen's innocent note. He had no idea what he was holding and the lady before him had grinned in entertainment.

Talia: "I am impressed, my lord. You seem to act dumb in these kind of situations. Are you feigning ignorance?" (Do they not have condoms here as well? No precautions?)

Damen: "Ignorance? With what? I'm sure my butler had his full reasons...they know I have a weak immune system.." (Talia seems to know this medicine, they must have this in the South)

The young lord reluctantly tears the sachet, revealing a thin plastic-like rubber which had a circular form. (What in heavens name is this?)

"Odd. Do you have any idea how this works?" Damen handsomely furrows his eyebrows at the young lady who had her eyes wide on the 'medicine'.

Talia: "What are you trying to imply?" (This foxy lord! Is he trying to- with me?!)

Talia felt hot in her sit, she didn't expect that Damen would approach her this way. She didn't like these kind of situations where men always had their ways among women by sugar-coating their words with a mask of innocence. Talia was always careful and paid great attention to the wolves around her -especially in the South. And here she was, a late night 'talk' with the most handsome man on land. Alone and with a condom. (gods! I knew he had been putting on a facade...)

Damen: "Talia? Uhm...I'll put this away okay. I think we should discuss the matter on hand." (Is it that bad?)

Damen instantly changes the mood with his soothing voice. He didn't really pay much attention with the item at hand. Instead, he was worried about Talia's bewildered state.

Talia flexed her muscles in relief as soon as Damen had shifted the topic. Her cheeks flushed at full pink again. (Is he just mocking me?)

"Talia, what do you think of me?"

Damen asked the lady in front with a serious tone. His deep voice was low and suggestive.

Talia fixated her eyes on Damen, confused. She had felt embarrassed with him again and ashamed.(What? He wasn't after that at all?)

"I don't think about you at all."

Talia put on a straight face. She didn't want to feel more embarrassed now. In heaven's name, she didn't want to stay alone any longer with Damen. Her thoughts would always drift to a one-sided conclusion.

"Well, you can think of me starting now." (Finally we can start now), Damen added nonchalantly and waited for Talias response.

Talia: "What is this exactly about? Please enlighten me, my lord." (So he likes me? Is that it? He called me to think about him?)

"Oh, I'm sorry....I called you out to talk about me. What do you think about me living in the Southerns?" Damen added. his eyes shining in ruby were filled with excitement and eagerness.

Talia: "YOU'RE MOVING? (may the gods be with Damen)
