Chapter 11 - Chapter 10

"Hey stop staring at me." I said at Adan. We were sitting outside while we eat our 'saver's meal' together.

"I'd stare at you forever..." he whispered.

"What?" I asked but he shrugged.

"Nothing..." he smirked.

"It's cold," I said as I fix our rubbish so that I could put them to where it really belong... to the trash. "I'll fix this up. You can go inside now." I said.

"I'll wait for you..." he said as he continued following me.

"okay..." I said before putting the rubbish to the trash can. "There you go. Let's get inside..." I said as he nodded.

---

"This unit is big... this must cost a fortune. Let's find another one..." I whispered to Adan as we find some apartment near my new university.

"How much?" Adan asked the sales agent.

"Well, this cost will cost around $1,400 a month. That's a big amount of money but it'll be worth it. You'll get a lot of benefits here. There's a gym, exclusively for the tenants only, a private library on the left wing, there's also a bowling alley on the right wing. I could tour you right now if you like..." the lady said while smiling. Adan looked at me so I shook my head. I cannot afford that!

"Can I talk to him for sec?" I said before pulling Adan's arm. The lady smiled before nodding.

"Okay, I'll head out first then. Mr. Keating... I'll go..." Adan nodded before he turned his glance to me.

"What is it?" he asked while leaning on the wall.

"I can't afford this Adan... can we look for some cheap apartments instead of this..." I said as I roamed my eyes around the expensive unit.

"I can pay-" I cut him off.

"No. I'll pay for this. You're not my sugar daddy Adan." I said.

"I can lend you a money..." he offered.

"Do you feel guilty or something?" I asked which made him shocked. "Don't be...."

"No... it's not like that. I wanted to help..." he said.

"Then just help me find a cozy but cheap apartment. even bed space will do Adan. Just help me. I don't need your money. I'm not a user..." I said lowly. He sighed before nodding.

"Alright... I'm sorry..." he said.

---

"How much is this unit?" I asked the landlady.

"This apartment is old... but it's still functional." she said . Yeah. It may not be as good as the one earlier... but it is still beautiful and neat. "$200 dollars a month."

The unit is just a studio type. But it has a queen size bed, a nice countertop, it also has a induction cooker with an oven, and a nice cream colored painted walls. It's simple... and I like it.

"When can I move in?" I asked. Adan looked at me with a questioning look plastered on his face.

"You can move in tomorrow if you like?" the lady said nicely.

"Well, I can start moving my things here tomorrow..." I said with finality.

"So.. You'll take this unit then?" the lady asked so I nodded. "Okay! I will start cleaning it later then!" she said. I looked at Adan who's now pouting.

"What's your problem?" I asked him as we go down to the stairs.

"This unit is a bit far from my place..." he said.

"Are you crazy? I will only be ten minutes away from your place!" I laughed.

"So I can visit you then?" he said.

"Hey, we always meet at work. You miss me that much huh?" I teased him.

"Yeah right," he rolled his eyes. "It's payday... let me treat you..." I said as I pulled his arm so that we could cross the street together. There's a fast food just in front of my new apartment building.

Another thing I like about this place is that it is not that far from where Ella and I used live, it's also near the convenience store where I'm working as of now, in other words it is indeed accessible.

"What do you want for lunch?" I asked Adan while my glace where glued to the menu on the counter.

"You..." he scoffed. "Anything will do. It's up to you," he said.

----

"Thank you for the lunch..." he said while we walk on the icy pavements of Seattle.

"Stop thanking me... You were always the one who gives me the favor..." I laughed.

"There's a lot of things that we should be thankful about... like this..." he said while smiling.

"like what?" I asked.

"Hmm...walking with you while snowing. " he said while smiling like an idiot.

"What's special about it?" I chuckled.

"The little things. Every little things about you... every little things that I do... especially when I'm with you.. It becomes special. And that will always matter to me."

"You sounded someone who's pussy whipped." I laughed.

"Maybe I am," he said seriously.

"Stop being so serious. You make it awkward." I pouted.

"Alright, I won't." he chuckled.

"It's my last day... in the university..." I said.

"Yeah. We won't see each other in school anymore..." he dramatically held his chest.

"You're being dramatic. We also see each other!" I laughed.

"Yeah. But we will miss you."

"I will miss a lot of people too." I said. "Hey, I got a question."

"What is it?" he asked.

"There's gotta be something with you and mike. He's been ignoring me hmmm..." I suspiciously eyes him.

"Mike who?" he innocently asked.

"Well, you're not a great pretender. you know?" I laughed.

"I didn't do anything..." he said

"Then why'd he ignore me since the day you popped up nowhere in the cafeteria." I said.

"I just told him to back off," he scratched the back of his neck.

"Is that so?" I rolled my eyes.

"Well, there's nothing wrong with that. I guess..." he scoffed.

"But that was rude!" I said.

"Well.... I'll take to him and I'll say sorry then..." he as if he was scared that I'll get mad at him.

"Well, that's great then."
