The process sounded easy yet Kiro sat in the circle Aren had drawn suddenly very nervous. He had agreed to this for Toma. He had to keep telling himself that, however, it was beginning to look like a lot to worry about.
"It will be dangerous and if done wrong, your body could very well be turned inside out." Memories from last night haunted Kiro. Hearing those words was bad enough but coming from a child's mouth was even more creepy.
"How are you, Master?" Toma ask looking up Kiro. The little guy meant more to Kiro than anyone ever had. He just hoped Toma knew how much that meant.
"I'm fine, Toma." Kiro smiled reassuringly at the fox that had become his best friend.
"Are you ready, Kiro?" Aren asked walking over holding a strange book.
"What's that?" Kiro asked pointing at the book.
"Have you never seen a spell book. It's strong magic to transfer all of one's mana to another being." Aren let go of the book and it floated in front of her.
"Strong magic but you can do it, right?" Kiro laughed nervously.
"You can still change your mind." Aren looked up at him curiously. He looked at Toma who suddenly seemed worried.
"No, I'm going to do this." Kiro sounded way more sure of himself than he felt.
"Let's begin." Aren started chanting and as she spoke, a bright green light shown from under him. The glyph had started glowing. A light mist appeared around him and started circling him. He eyed it suspiciously but tried to stay calm.
The mist entered his body through his mouth and nose which felt very strange then he felt something grab at his soul. The pain had him doubling over.
"Stop! It's hurting him! " Toma screamed trying to get into the circle but the barrier kept him out.
"No. I'm fine, Toma." Kiro smiled encouragingly at the worried fox. The pain worsened slightly but then started to dissipate. The mist came out but now it was glowing a rainbow of colors.
"Amazing." Aren breathed as she watched the mist leave Kiro and enter the Spirit Elder. Kiro watched as the Spirit Elder shined with light and he suddenly had a beautiful glow around him. Then everything went black for Kiro and he hit the ground.
