The classroom was busy as usual, paper airplanes flying, speakers buzzing, conversations aplenty, smiles shining bright, and immature laughter bumbling out like eruptions.
Class 2A was one of the bigger classes, thirty students of variety going about their ways almost like clockwork. Handsome guys playfully flirting, uptight girls gathering their bags and preparing for tomorrow's midterm, and nerds casually tapping away at their phone; volume annoyingly on full blast.
"Life was normal", as Noah would put it. The air filled with anxiety, stress, laughter, and the growing feeling that they would all graduate looming above them. And despite all that, Noah enjoyed it actually, even if some students were grabbing their hair as they thought about cramming last minute, or how others pushed the idea to the back of their minds to try and act like they were ready. Instead, he was calm and collected.
It was all so amusing, and Noah was always their for the show. The scenery had come to grant him comfort, as if knowing that none of the stress and shoulder baggage would ever be a problem for him had entitled him to such thoughts.
He had studied diligently, but not too much that others would call him a "study freak". He worked out regularly, but not to the point he had bulging muscles. He always made sure to look alright, not going too overboard to show himself off. He played games, but he never stayed up to the early hours of the morning to finish a raid.
In simpler terms, Noah enjoyed just lazily sitting in the very back of the classroom, doing nothing to draw attention to himself. It was never because he hated popularity, or had these unwavering mission to be alone.
He just felt like he would never fit in. Noah just had never gotten the chance. When he moved into Sunset City, Garden High had already been a place with no "seats available". Everyone had their cliques, group chats, relationships and even their rivalries.
In a sense, Noah just showed up, and not a single person had came to greet him like in Anime, Mangas, or books. He just picked a seat, and for an entire year he had sat there through class and went straight home when school was finished.
Noah actually slightly disliked not being apart of everything, but he also didn't dislike it. Maybe it was because he was a teenager, but he always got these mixed feeling he had no idea what to do with.
So in the end, he did nothing.
"Hey Star wanna go to the movies?"
Noah dropped his thoughts, glancing over to his right to see two familiar faces. The one who had spoken belonged to Angelo, a blonde haired boy who always excelled at everything. He had soft features, but a strong jawline. He also had hazel eyes, one's that were nice to gaze at. He was a pretty boy, which most people remembered him for. However, Angelo funnily enough always had trouble getting girls.
Noah internally laughed, 'Seems you are going to try again Angelo, good luck.' He said within his head.
Sitting at her desk, the beautiful figure of Star was looking down. She had a book open, her tan fingers gentle as she turned the page. Her brown hair was short and caressed her shoulders seductively. Her small freckled face smiling as she saw Angelo, green eyes piercing him as she did.
"Sorry, Midterms are tomorrow, I want to study when I get home." She kept her smile and slightly cocked her head.
Noah whistled in his head, 'Dang shot down that quick eh? Well just don't call her out on her B.S. Angelo. Maybe try to ask her about after midterms.'
Angelo bit his lip, "Really? No one studies for six hours straight, loosen up and have some fun before we can't for the next few days."
Noah shook his head and sighed, 'Bad choice bud, here it comes.'
Star rose an eyebrow, "Sorry Angie, but studying is more important than going to see a movie. Maybe next time okay?"
Noah leaned back in his chair, a little surprised she let him down easy. Usually she would make light work of him, saying "no" like a statue. She usually did to everyone. However, occasionally she had a soft spot for cute boys, most would.
'Now how do you counter pretty boy? Let me guess, you are going to invite her anyways?' Noah said in his head.
Angelo exhaled and put his hands on his hips, "Well okay then, I understand. But. If you wanna come I'll shoot you a text when and where we are going."
"Okay." Star simply replied.
Angelo seemed fine with her answer, turning away and trudging back over to a group of people. They were all laughing loudly and cracking jokes. When Angelo appeared next to him, a redhead wrapped his arm around him and pulled him in. His name was Aaron if he remembered correctly.
Noah nodded after their conversation was over, looking down at the paper in front of him, 'Should I ask to go?' He asked himself internally. For a moment he let his question marinate in his head.
'Nope, I'll just go home and sleep, it wont hurt me if I do.'
Noah yawned quietly, deciding that now was a good time as ever to go home. Staying after class was only for those who wanted to make plans, something he knew he didn't have the guts to indulge in.
"Hey, um."
Noah froze, chills running down his spine as he glanced up. Standing before him, Star smiled diligently.
"Your name is Noah right?" She asked nervously.
Noah swallowed hard, his hands bawling into fist as he tried his best to smile. He scrambled for an answer,
"Ah yeah, it's Noah."
Star gave him a side glance, her cheeks reddening as she did. Noah rose an eyebrow, a plethora of thoughts racing across his mind. 'Is she about to confess to me?!' Noah screamed in his head.
"Hey can you not tell anyone Angelo invited me, it's kind of embarrassing."
Noah's face went stale, and he laughed internally. 'Oh right, I forgot I'm a nobody."
He sourly nodded, "No problem." He gave her a two finger salute and she simply responded by bowing,
"Thank you, sorry to bother you."
Noah nodded again, unsure if he really needed to say anything else. Star gave him another glance before leaving without another word. He watched her go, her hair bouncing as she did. Star grabbed her bag and book with haste. She then hopped over to a girl sitting quietly as she knitted some type of cloth.
She had dirty blonde hair tied up in a ponytail, stern yet calm features focusing as she intertwined the cloth with expertise. Her brass rimmed glasses slowly slid down her nose as she continued knitting in bliss. Bliss that was soon to end.
'Hey Anne whatcha doing?' Noah thought in a feminine voice.
"Hey Anne whatcha doing? Is that for Whiskers?" Star said slamming her hands on the desk.
Anne rose an eyebrow and looked up at her, "Who else would this scarf fit?" She stopped knitting, her face growing annoyed.
Star rolled her eyes, "Is your cats all you care about? You need to ya know, focus on other things."
Anne countered, "What could be more important than my cats?"
Noah smiled and thought to himself as he heard her speak, 'Knowing Star it's boys or studying."
Star scrunched her nose up, "Boys of course, you should invite one to study at the Library."
Noah thumbed his chin, surprised Star managed to combine both of his guesses. As he heard their banter go back and forth he suddenly lost interest, taking his focus on a trio of guys who had their phones sideways; tapping away as they played a game. They had pushed their desks together, a few drinks and chip bags open and spread across them.
Noah made out the face of a small skinny kid with a pale face and an assortment of pimples. His black hair cut into a bowl. His name was Shin, but most called him S.I.
For the reason, Noah had concluded it was his gamertag. A little weird to say the least, but no one cared enough to mess with him about it.
Across from him sat Tanner, and Yui. Tanner was a lanky broad shouldered tough guy who had gotten in tons of fights throughout the year. Now though, he had dropped the gimmick of being a delinquent and set his future on game design. Noah mused about it more, finding it odd how he was now friends with the guy he used to bully.
Yui was a little shorter than Tanner and had Oriental features that shone through his long locks of black hair. He had on a few anime pins that stood out against his white collar and he was also rocking a MHA phone case, plus a pen bag that had a smiling cartoon kitten on it. He had transferred the same year that Noah did, but unlike him, he was a gamer fanatic. So he had found his group of friends easy, and most of the class liked him. Yui had even been able to speak Japanese, which girls loved to hear and would even beg him to do for some odd reason. Even teachers would clap when he spoke it so easily.
Noah slumped against his desk, resting his chin as he listened in on their conversation.
"Hey Tan can you go healer this raid?" Yui asked as he rubbed his scalp.
Tanner slowly tapped the table, "We tried that formation three tries ago, maybe a Bishop would be better?"
Shin was honed in, "Yeah, he can go bishop and me and Yui can go DPS, since he has defense Spells we won't have to help him take out rear Ads."
Noah heard them speak, nodding in agreement as if he was next to them deciding the best strategy. A Bishop was more tanky than most healers, allowing him room to venture off if things got bad. As a result, if Shin and Yui went DPS mains than dealing the extra damage that Tanner won't be able to dish out was plausible.
'The only problem is they don't have a flanker, crits are everything against bosses, right Shin?' Noah asked internally.
Almost on cue, Shin exhaled heavily, "We don't have a Flanker at all, critical hits will help us get the boss past his first stage and finish him off on his last."
Tanner bit his lip, "Then I'll go Hunter, easy-ass crit class and it has stealth abilities that can replace defenses spells."
Yui agreed, "I agree, then I can go Paladin and heal myself."
Noah yawned and continued the conversation in his head, 'Shin will just use health potions to substitute for a healer."
Shin clicked his phone a few times, "Just purchased extra health potions, we got this guys."
Tanner grinned stupidly, "Of course we do, kill these dick bags as quick as they show, right Yui?"
The asian boy smirked, "This is our tenth try, I mean might as well finish on an even number."
Shin also grinned back, "Alright boys, let's get this over with!"
Noah laughed silently, wishing he had charged his smartphone last night. If he did, just maybe he might of scooted across and asked to play. It was Go! Go! Hunter afterall, a game Noah solo finished a few months back. He had picked it up since the craze about a MMORPG on mobile devices running smoothly had swamped the internet. Apparently it had a cloud feature which let everything seamlessly load without lag.
Noah couldn't lie either, he loved the game, but it had become boring quickly since he had no one to play with. He frowned, realizing be really was just some side character in the grand scheme of things.
'No, I'm more of a background character, side characters get some light on them most of the time.'
Noah lifted his head and trained his focus through the window. Outside, the bustling suburbs were still lively as ever. People jogged about in very unfashionable clothing, others walked their dogs on sidewalks; occasionally tugging the beasts back as they barked at pedestrians or vehicles going about their lives. The trees were also filled with squirrels which leaped from branch to branch, mouths full as they got ready for winter. Noah even squinted as he saw a couple fighting on their front porch. Of course, they were a good street or two away since school grounds had stretched a whole block, so it was just a wild guess. Something he was good at.
Noah then noticed the blue sky, the small amount of clouds letting the immaculate sunlight shine on the residence of Sunset City. There was even a glare from the glass skyscrapers a mile or so away.
Noah kept his frown, thinking to how mundane and simple life truly was. Nothing eventful was happening, but everyone had smiles, laughed with pride and even got excitement out of each day. For him, days seem to merge together as he repeated the same things over and over again, hell, he could even predict what his classmates were going to say.
It was like he had heard it all, his mind already getting the gist of what was to come just from the expressions people wore. Noah had always had the small gift to see farther than most. He studied weeks in advance to not overload his mind. He readied himself to dodge party invites as popular people had their birthdays, inviting everyone they could to seem kind. Noah sometimes even memorized habits of people like Angelo, so the crowd that followed them wouldn't lead to interacting with him.
He had done it all because he just knew it was better that way. Being a side character was always leagues easier than trying to be the protagonist. Noah could practically write down cliches his classmates would do to get attention, or sometimes he would cringe at how absurd situations were.
A smug, somewhat kind classmate named Leo was an example that was happening right now. He was outside sitting on a bench with two females from other classes, his soft features curling into a smile as he wrapped his hand around one of them. Noah watched then from the second story window, the bench seated in the courtyard that separated the classrooms from the cafeteria building.
Leo was supposed to be in study period with everyone else, he knew this, but he skipped so he could seem like he was above doing it. Everyone understood it was pointless, but "going against the grain" would boost his popularity.
Noah grimaced as he saw Leo flirt effortlessly with the two girls, as if dealing with multiple girls was as simple as his studies. Which he held top seat in the whole school for. Another thing Noah had found irritating.
'Okay Leo, just wait till one gets jealous.' Noah said in his head. Eventually, which he guessed was a week or two, one of the girls would try to get closer and spoil the mood. Then a huge fight would break out and rumors would spread like wildfire. Noah knew it was to once again to make Leo stand out.
Although, deep down Noah had a thought,
'If I know all this why don't I give it a shot, I mean being the center of attention is pretty easy?'
He shut his realization down the second he spawned it, 'Just keep being a moody teen Noah, it fits you better.'
He hated that he understood he was just being an unassuming asshole who in actuality was just a loner by nature, but at the moment he swallowed hard and glanced around the classroom.
Not even a single face he could call a friend, bummer. Although, he knew each and everyone of them fairly well. Angelo was a guy who had trouble with girls and always tried his best at everything to impress them, Anne was obsessed with cats and didn't even glance at any guys, Tanner was the delinquent that decided being an asshole wasn't cool anymore and matured a lot; though his mouth was still foul, Shin was just a nerd who was embarrassed about how he was still breaking out, Yui was the cool exchange student that Noah wasn't, Leo was the popular guy who wasn't a jerk for the most part and actually cared about people, and to make things short Aaron was the immature class clown who had issues at home.
'Oh well, looks like I overstayed my visit, time to clock out.' Noah gathered his paper and pencil bag, stuffing it in his satchel backpack without a second thought. After a long exhale, he began to get up.
Just as he pushed his chair back, the door to class 2A burst open. All the attention shifted to the chubby figure of their gym instructor. Balding brown hair, a long nose, and a very small frame in a maroon track suit looked back at them. Noah continued, not interested with what he was going to say. However, he noticed a small detail, something he was very good at. The man was sweating, profusely actually.
He was a big man, Mr. Tenet himself and many students had gone lengths to make jokes about it. Although, he had openly said to them he hated to exercise which had only worsened the snickers. The reason Noah hesitated was because Mr. Tenet would only be sweating if he had ran or did something worth the struggle, which what other reason would someone burst into a classroom that they ran to.
Noah's eyes narrowed as he gripped his backpack string with force,
'To give us bad news.'
Almost as if just the mere thought had started some cosmic coincidence, the entire building seem to slide to the left. An eruption of vibrations brought students to their knees or had tossed others off their chairs and onto hard tile. The violent shakes had caused ceiling boards to rattle in there frames, threatening to break loose any second. Screams and shouts echoed through the now chaotic classroom, and Noah was not enjoying being slung against the back wall.
He grunted as he hit the smart board, the rolled up white display popping off with a thud and smacking him on the head. Noah gripped his scalp and groaned as the fever dream of an event stopped almost in the moment it started. A few screams still rang out, and others moaned as they felt their bodies stain with bruises.
Noah grimaced as he touched the lump forming on his head, a light wave of nausea washing over him.
"Everyone calm down!"
Noah gritted his teeth, 'Not the time to shout, first thing would be to check the students condition.'
"Mr. Tenet please quiet down, you should not yell in a situation like this." A man in a black suit and tie stepped into the classroom. "Is anyone hurt?"
A few students raised their hands, and the new figure motioned at Mr. Tenet. The plump man stood their for a moment in angst, catching the man's gaze a few seconds later. He rushed over to the nearest person. Of course, Noah did not raise his hand, the unwanted attention something he put over the pain in his head
Mr. Sanchez was their home room teacher, his hispanic accent touch reaching the students as he began to address the situation, "I know you guys might be scared, but fear not it was just a gas line explosion a few blocks away. The city called ahead for us to warn that one explosion may be close." He glared downwards at the gym teacher caressing a girl's forearm.
"However someone never told you guys during gym class that you can go home for the day, I apologize greatly. Anyways, Study Hour is over, go home."
Aaron, the redhead and Angelo's closest friend rose his hand. Mr. Sanchez glanced at it and sighed, "Yes Mr. Daye?"
The boy grinned like an idiot, "Do we still have Midterms tomorrow?"
The Mexican man pinched his nose in annoyance, "Yes we will, although if anyone was injured due to Mr. Tenet's incompetence they are exempt for tomorrow." He rose a single finger, "Only tomorrow."
Aaron fell to the floor and grabbed his shoulder, "Oh no my shoulder's broken."
Angelo laughed along with other males that were in the group. Although, the few people who had been sitting when it all happened were not fond of the laughter. Noah sighed as pain and confusion left his mouth. He wanted to go already, but now he knew he would have to wait. If he suddenly bolted off someone was bound to ask why he did so tomorrow.
Noah laughed silently as he witnessed how easily he had decided to go the loner route. Maybe he should check on others and see how they were, he could capitalize and make friends pretty easy that way. In the end he decided to awkwardly stand in the corner of the classroom, waiting for the chattering to stop and for people to start leaving. It didn't take very long for interest to nose dive.
The bewilderment of the random explosion had been dealt with ease, and many students were sad that it was over so fast. It was clear as day that the event would be talked about for days on end, and even used as an excuse for why some got bad Midterm scores. Sirens wailing in the distance had made it worse, some students crying to their friends as if their life was in danger. In reality, Noah had the worse injury, his head burning as he stood quietly.
However, as things started to flow normally, the classroom was empty and Noah found himself walking home. It had happened fast, and abruptly, but he was glad he could go home and sleep.
A tranquil calm washed over Noah as he ignored the thumping in his head. He had his hands stuffed in his pockets as he walked, a familiar emotionless face plastered on. Noah thought back to moving to Sunset City, the pure awe he had joining such a huge population. Everything he never had was here, from 3D movie theaters; well movie theaters in general, Malls that had multiple levels and even a football team to root for.
The Sunset Ravens had won the SuperBowl four times already in the last ten years, which was not an easy feat. The town was full of nice people, and Noah found himself falling into sync easily.
'But.' Noah thought grimly.
He had only moved here to finish his last two years of high school, since his parents were having a nasty divorce he didn't want anything to do with. They had compromised by sending him a good sum of money and letting him live on his own for a year or two.
Noah was glad to just be away, experiencing new things before he had to go to University. Honestly, he had no clue what he wanted to do with his life and usually pushed it to the back of his mind.
"Later" is what Noah would always say.
His thoughts cut off as he found himself in front of his apartment complex. The twenty minute walk had been shorter for some reason, as if he had no traffic to wait on like usual.
Glancing up, it was a long white rectangular building that stretched four stories up, a metal fence sealing off the roof. The apartment building wasn't anything to gawk at, but it was still nice, nicer than what any high school student should be living in alone. Noah didn't really care where he was, he just needed a place to clear his head.
Although, he was having a bit of trouble with the whole "side character dynamic". It was a back and forth he knew was exhausting to think about, especially if someone could read his thoughts.
Noah yawned and began his ascent over the stone stairs resting in front of the building. He pushed past the doors and stood in the entrance. The complex opening to a small foyer were two elevators waited patiently at the far wall. To his left was a long desk that took up most of the room, usually, an aging man in pajamas would sip coffee and type away on a laptop. Noah knew him as Mark, and he always had a sign up to indicate when he was away.
The paper said, "gone fishin'." But Sunset City had only one lake that banned doing just that. Mark had made himself seem like a comedic genius with it, like most things he did around the complex.
Noah noted the sign was gone along with Mark, giving the foyer a long sweep to see if anyone was there. He was alone, like usual, but it felt different.
Noah turned toward the revolving doors, his eyes watching the sidewalk.
Empty.
Noah shrugged and tapped the elevator button.
Nothing.
'Odd, if the there was maintenance being done then there would be a sign or notice."
He wasn't fond of two signs missing, but he reluctantly pressed the other one. A small ding touched his ears and a few moments later it opened. Noah stepped in and turned, watching the empty foyer with suspicion. The doors closed with a click, and the platform started to move.
"Everything feels so.... wrong.'
Noah couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. He had just this scratch that he was being watched that entire time. He chuckled to himself, pinning the insane thought on his new head injury. Maybe he was going crazy, or maybe today was was just not his day. Whatever the reason some good rest couldn't hurt him.
"Hey, tomorrow I should try talking to someone.' Noah bit his lip, 'Damn I sound pathetic, but might as well give it a shot.'
Noah nodded to himself. Although he was a complete loner and didn't mind fading to the background, having a friend wouldn't make him popular or anything.
Hopefully.
With a few more beeps Noah was on the fourth floor, strides long as he made his way out of the hallway and onto a balcony walkway. He liked were his room was, the view breathtaking even after seeing it for almost a year. Time and time again he would take a few moments to soak it in. A beautiful forest just in the edge of a mountain range that stretched for miles on end. The mountains were a small line across the horizon, but if Noah walked for an hour or two, he would reach the forest easily. There was also the SuperMall that Noah had only been to twice, and the faint entrance to the lake Noah thought of earlier. The sparkling water was named Lake Ike, and the sun rays had bounced off it beautifully as always.
Noah let his feeling rise for a few moments, closing his eyes to feel the warmth of the sun. Then as he opened them he noticed something odd. Below him was the parking lot, but mysteriously there was nothing parked there. Of course they had been two others around the building, but Noah had always noticed how full this one usually was.
'Ignore it Noah, just go catch some sleep already.'
Noah begged himself to turn and continue all the way to a wall that the balcony abruptly merged into. Just a few feet away, a red door with the number 345 waited patiently. Noah fumbled for his keys in his backpack and lazily stuck them into the key hole.
With a slight push he entered the quant apartment room. The entrance was a small hallway, his slipped and his other two pair of shoes waiting patiently. To his right was a mirror that had come with the place, and to his left was a small table with random things on it.
Noah closed the door behind him, moving forward as he heard it slam. Just as he took his shoes off and stepped forward, his toe caught the lip of a small step.
"Damn!" He grimaced as he hopped back and held his foot up. He had always forgot about the little elevation from the entranced to the living room, and time and time again he stubbed his toe.
"I'll remember you next time!" He exclaimed to himself.
He wouldn't.
After the pain in his big toe lessened, Noah chanced a glance at the framed mirror. His hair was a deep brown and swept to his right, he had dark regular brown eyes and normal features for the most part. Well, his frown stood out, but at the same time it was what he was usually wore. Nothing new.
But then he noticed something odd, he small the smallest yellow glow come from his irises. He blinked, the light seemingly gone the second his saw it. Then he noticed the pain in his head was gone, and after touching around, he could no longer feel a lump. He shrugged, at the very least happy he was fine.
Noah sighed heavily and started toward the rest of his apartment. Only, he comically clipped the edge again.
"Are you serious Noah!" He grabbed his other big toe, a fake tear rolling down his cheek as he hobbled over the half foot incline. Noah cursed a few times under his breath.
'My day just keeps getting worse.' Noah thought as he limbed his way through the large kitchenette set adjacent to the living room. After he passed it, another door had been set against a wall, it slightly cracked open.
Noah finally shook away the pain in his foot, clenching his head as he a headache began to form. Maybe he wasn't out of the clear for his injury just yet. He opened the door with a slight jab of his elbow, his small twin bed and a desk with his gaming PC coming into view. The room was small, but since Noah lived alone he never bothered complaining. If he ever got enough courage to talk to someone, he was sure he would never get far enough to invite them over. Girls especially.
For some reason though, as Noah changed clothes, a surge of fatigue had fallen over him. It was small at first, and he had gotten the same feeling at school. But for some reason it had grown stronger and stronger as he walked home.
Noah was someone who usually never let small details get by him, but today he had never put much thought to how tired he was. He pinned it on his head injury again, just as he did the empty streets, the zero traffic, the vacant parking lot, and his sudden urge to crawl into bed and pass out.
Noah took his shirt off, 'Something doesn't feel right.'
Noah began to survey his room, finding nothing out of the ordinary as he did. He was suddenly annoyed, as if something was passing under his radar. There was definitely a feeling that Noah could not ignore, and on any day he wouldn't.
But today, he was just too tired to care enough to do anything. Maybe his brain knew Midterms was tomorrow, begging him to rest so he could be revitalized for the early morning testing. Or maybe he was drugged without realizing, the effects barley starting to kick in. No, no one would want to drug him, that was a little bizarre, even for him think about.
'Am I going crazy? Did I even eat dinner? Was I hungry? Did I ever lock the door? Why is everything blurry?'
Noah's eyes went wide as he suddenly saw everything as a fuzzy mess. His bed was swirling like a whirlpool and his white walls began to shrink and lengthen right before his eyes.
'What the Fu-' His thoughts cut off as a robotic voice spoke in his ear.

Congratulations! You have successfully survived World 0. Not many will have done so, and because of your mental fortitude you have been given a Bonus Reward!

Noah tipped to his right, his balance swaying as his head spun from whatever had just bounced around his head. The voice was feminine, but male at the same time, but also robotic. Noah was really losing his mind, and he could to little as he collapsed to his knees.
"Whatth gointh onnnnerrrrr." His words slurred as he tried to speak, saliva foaming at his mouth.
He crashed to the carpet, his eyes rolling around his head like a pinball. With the last semblance of control he had left, he reached for the edge of his bed. He gripped his grey sheets and pulled. He had no idea why he did it, but the thought of sleeping on the floor was still binging in his head.
"Fucth me." He blurted out as the covers snapped off and landed over him, shielding him head to toe. With a rasp final breath, he passed out cold, his head thumbing against the edge of his bed frame as he slumped to the ground.

Of course Noah was fast asleep, his body temperature rising as the world around him changed. Earthquakes shook the world, causing his monitors to fall over and break, even the one encased poster of Go! Go! Hunter swinging off the wall. The glass case shattered against the head of his bed, shards of glass flinging everywhere.
More explosions rang out, deadly screams and shrieks taking up the sky as darkness fell over Earth. Some of them even in earshot of Noah. But alas, he was gone, his head swimming as he dreamed of space. The dark expanse lifeless as he floated aimlessly.
Soon, Noah would wake to a world vastly different than his own, and the traditions he had donned would be no more. The people of Sunset would no longer be the smiling, boastful, and the kind hearted souls he had come to love.
Earth had ended quickly, and a daunting realization would haunt him for the rest of his life. Through his great battles and his struggles, it was quite clear that being a side charter would be rather hard in the Apocalypse.
