Not too long after their conversation in the cemetery they headed back to the Octagon House. As they walked through the front door and past the dining room, Elizabet took notice of Dinah and Erin. The calmness resting on Dinah's face didn't escape the attention of Elizabet. She ginned and quickly turned to face so Erin and Dinah wouldn't see her reaction. She didn't want to ruin their camaraderie they had seemed to develop. Elizabet was very well aware how difficult it was to speak freely with Dinah, she was as obstinate as they come!
Hattie crossed the room and moved over to the lounge chair, and sat down. Elizabet knelt down by the fire place, the evening was cool, even if it was nearly the first of June. Elizabet lit the fire and a soft glow illuminated the room.
The soft flicker gave the succubus had an eery demonic appearance, a terrifyingly evil one. Hattie tapped on the arm rest chair and put her other hand to her chin thinking, planning how they were going to break into the compound and save the boy. Save the key to find their lady and queen. From what Elizabet had explained the compound was well guarded. It was meant to keep things in, getting in would be easy enough. However, to get out again and will the addition of the male would be far more difficult.
Hattie contemplated who they would send. They couldn't send the entire coven as it would be too dangerous. The more involved would only further complicate the plan. It also didn't help that they were all that stood between life as they knew it and the end of the world. Hattie chuckled at her view of the dire situation, but unfortunately it was the truth.
Hattie drummed her fingers more quickly it was probably time to send the word out to the community. It was time for them to send out word to create their army. Hopefully there were still enough free mythological creatures that could answer their call. She dearly hoped that was the case and then glanced over at Elizabet still kneeling by the fire.
"So?" Elizabet leaned in, sticking her hand directly into the fire to adjust the logs to add oxygen to increase the heat in the room. "Have you come up with the plan? Also, I think we should leave Erin out of it, for now."
"Agreed, at least until she is a full member of the coven. As of now she lacks the true protection that the coven provides." Hattie mused and then glanced towards the door to find Heather staring at her leaning on the frame. Hattie provided a slight nod of her head to which Heather returned. Hattie then turned back towards Elizabet, "has she asked you yet?"
Elizabet laughed and shook her head, "of course not. I wonder if she even will speak with me." She may have laughed at the idea, but her voice had a layer of sadness. Elizabet shrugged her shoulders and turned to see Heather walking into the room and sitting opposite of Hattie. Elizabet took her hand out of the fire and waved in greeting at the nightmare sending a couple embers to the floor around her.
"Elizabet, do be careful!" Hattie reprimanded, but before she even could finished the sentence the embers flickered out.
Elizabet rolled her eyes, unbothered. "The plan, dear?"
"Ah yes! Well, I was thinking and I really want to run it by Dinah...but she is preoccupied at the moment. Anyways, I was thinking of sending you, Heather and of course yourself, Elizabet. I think you two are the best for the mission. I think your abilities will be the best in this situation."
Hattie was shocked when Heather replied, "I agree, the three of us are probably the most foul creatures. Well, other than Lena, but she is stronger in the water and there is no water where we will be going, right?" Heather spoke clear and evenly.
Elizabet nodded, "True and really my thoughts exactly."
The hag furrowed her brows, "No, not what I was thinking. Not my reason for sending you!" Hattie replied quickly not wanting them to get the wrong impression. But deep down she supposed there was a kernel of truth. "If that was true, I would volunteer to send myself as well, I am no saint."
Elizabet coughed trying to keep her laugh in. "Even when you were young, I don't think you were ever evil. Just misunderstood. Besides you're kind of the most powerful witch in the coven. If something were to happened to you...well it wouldn't be anything good."
Hattie glanced over at Heather, while she didn't react the same as Elizabet, she was nodding in agreement with the succubus. "When shall we leave."
"Well, I think we need to speak with Dinah and the rest of the coven being sure to keep Erin in the dark, for the time being. But I think in a few days time at night would be best." Hattie looked over at Heather, "that is after all when you are the strongest."
Heather nodded, "shall I get Dinah?"
"No, she is speaking with Erin at the moment. Why don't you find Cicely, I will explain the plan to her and then she can distract Erin with her story."
Heather once again nodded in agreement. She stood up quickly from the chair and departed in search of the gorgon. The time was soon.
