Liz turned around to start heading back to the car when she thought of something. "Wait!" she called out to the still dazed police officer. She sauntered over to him, "I think that you would like to gift me your hand cuffs and the key, if you don't mind."
The man nodded and unhooked them from his belt. Handing them over to Liz like it was nothing.
Liz took the handcuffs and walked back to the Mustang. She opened the door, pulling the front seat forward.
"Here, girl."
Erin furrowed her brows. She didn't want to. She didn't feel compelled to do it either.
Hattie turned around in her seat and faced Erin. "Erin, dear. Why don't you be a good girl and present your wrists to Liz." Hattie said. "She will be cuffing them." Hattie spoke as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
Erin nodded and provided her wrists to Liz who immediately cuffed them. "I think its best if you do not attempt to run away again. As you can see, we will find you and bring you back." Liz was angry, they had wasted valuable time. Part of retrieving the girl was a point of pride the other part being that she would come in handy. Also, she didn't need the girl causing more problems than they already had!
When they had pulled back into the drive there were two more cars there. With three more women standing around. Erin's eyes grew wide. She was never going to escape. What was going to happen to her? Were they going to kill her? Or worse torture her? So many things were running through Erin's mind, she didn't feel the car stop, or Liz holding out her hand to escort her out of the car.
Hattie jumped out of the car when she saw three more of her sisters standing around idly chatting.
"Flora, Cicely, and Lena. You're here!" She went over to each of them and gave them a hug fully enveloping them into her embrace. "I am so happy. I'm sorry we missed your arrival. We had something to take care of."
Hattie turned her head and looked at Liz and Erin. The young girl looked miserable.
The three new women looked over, "Who is she?" Lena asked.
"Er, apparently we are kidnappers now." Hattie joked. "Her name is Erin and she knows are sweet Emmeline."
Liz spoke up. "I think she will be of use to us. She is handcuffed for now. She ran away earlier, the reason why we weren't able to greet you when you arrived."
Flora shrugged her shoulders, "So, where is Myrtle?"
"While we went to go and grab our little escapee, she went ahead and is resealing the gates."
"Ah, and the house?" Cicely asked her head motioned to the pile of ash in front of them.
"That we will take care of when the others arrive. Hold tight my dear sisters. It will come together soon."
Erin looked over at the three newly arrived women, Flora, Cicely, and Lena.
Flora was beautiful in an innocent looking way. She had brown hair and freckles. Her eyes were green and she wore a flower in her hair. Erin almost thought she looked like a hippie or something.
Cicely had piercing features. She couldn't tell what color her eyes were as Cicely was wearing sunglasses. Even in the shade she didn't remove them. Her hair was oddly died green and she wore bracelets all up her arm.
Lena had a bored look on her face. She appeared to be older than the others, but not as old as hattie. She was dressed in all black. Her eyes were a deep brown almost black color.
Erin gulped there were more of them and she was vastly outnumbered. However, after what Liz had told them Erin was not as frightened any longer. They probably wouldn't kill or torture her, but what exactly did they want? Erin had no ideas and she was drawing an absolute blank.
Liz turned to Erin and looked her straight in the eyes, "Can I trust that you'll be a good little girl and stay put?"
Erin nodded. She didn't have the same compulsion as she did when Hattie spoke to her. But, Erin was not so stupid to attempt to leave a second time. Not to mention the women seemed to have some sort of power!
Liz walked closer to the group of women and put her arms around them. "Its good to have you all here. Soon we will all be here. Soon..." She trailed off. How long had it been since they were all together?
About an hour later Myrtle came walking up the driveway. "Damn! Why is the estate so large! It took forever to seal this place!!" She glanced at the new comers as she wiped off her knife on a tissue before placing it back in the compartment. "Oh hey ladies! The gang is almost all here."
"We were all here shortly after this place was erected. When you husband had left for a week trip." Flora spoke up.
"Mm." Liz thought about the last time they were here. About her husband. About her daughter. She bit her lip to hold back the tears that wanted to spill from her eyes.
"When are the others supposed to come?" Cicely questioned.
"Hopefully sometime before sun down! Liz spoke and glanced down the road. Soon they would make things right. Soon they would be prepared for battle. It would be a fight for their lives and their very existence.
