Gregory slowly came to, his eyes fluttering open. 'What happened' he thought to himself. He recalled the flashing blue light and it almost seemed like a dream, but he was knocked out. How was that even possible?
When he looked across the kitchen, he noticed the broken cups, saucers, and teapot and as his eyes slowly scanned the room he noticed Ania slumped up against a wall. He went over and knelt beside her.
"Ania? Ania?" He called out. He didn't receive a reaction initially but several moments later her body shook and her eyes shot open.
It took Ania a moment to focus on the man in front of her. Initially it was terror and then she jumped into Gregory's arms. He fell back catching her. "Papa what was that?"
Gregory wished he knew. He wished he could provide an answer to her, but nothing seemed satisfactory and instead he could only shake his head. 'Where's Emmeline' he thought. He stood up pulling Ania up with him. The young girl followed closely behind Gregory holding his hand, she was nervous it was the first time anything like that had happened.
Gregory can hear a banging sound and moves carefully around the corner. In the entry way, Emmeline is sprawled out on the floor, the front door banging against a hall table. "Emmeline," he shouts, but she doesn't respond. "Ania why don't you get a wet cloth? I will take her to upstairs and put her on a bed," as he said as he knelt beside her.
Ania nodded and ran straight into the closed door in search of clothes and cool water.
SMACK.
Ania hit the door with a loud bang and fell to the floor unconscious for the second time that day.
Gregory turned around and let out a sigh when he saw the unconscious girl. Now he had two of them. He groaned. He went over to Ania to see if she was breathing, she was. This only made things more complicated. He scooped her up over one shoulder and went and grabbed Emmeline. He sighed one more time for good measure because he had no words. He took the stairs carefully making sure to keep each of them snug and safe. He plopped Ania on the bed and she let out an 'humph'. Gregory was a little more gentle towards Emmeline as she had yet to wake up.
Gregory then left the room to grab some rags and the basin of water. The moment he touched Emmeline with the cold water she began to moan and cry out in her unconsciousness. Her eyes started fluttering as if she were dreaming and then the tears began to stream down her face. Gregory backed away in confusion. All he did was put the wet cool rag on her forehead. It couldn't have been could it? He hovered back over the young woman unsure of what to do. He didn't want to cause additional strain to the woman.
"Owe...that really hurt!"
Gregory looked over and noticed Ania rubbing her nose. Gregory shook his head and brought her a glass of water, "Of course it hurt."
"The last time I checked I was dead?" Ania moved her arms and then her fingers. "Wait, that hurt?"
"I don't know how it happened, but I think we are alive, at least for the moment." Gregory looked at Emmeline and he was sure it had to do with her. He KNEW it was contact to her and this place.
Ania rolled over in bed and looked at the young woman next to her, "She's alive too? What in the heck is happening?!"
Gregory had his eyes trained on Emmeline and noticed she continued to cry and her body was slightly shaking.
"Do you think she is having a dream?" Ania asked.
Gregory shook his head, "No, I think she is having a nightmare."
"Do you think we should wake her up?" Ania was holding back the need and want to poke Emmeline's cheek.
Gregory threw his hands up, "I don't even know anymore, I haven't a clue on what we should be doing. I feel safe to say this is unchartered territory. The blind leading the blind," He trailed off.
"I- I um think that we should wake her up, it breaks my heart to see her like that." Ania noted the tears falling down her face.
Gregory nodded in agreement unsure of what the best way to wake her would be, but soon that became irrelevant.
Emmeline shot up in a fit of panic her eyes wide and a bright green color that slowly faded to a deep rich emerald green. "Matthew?!" She called out her eyes staring out past the two in front of her.

In Pahrump, Nevada about 60 miles West of Las Vegas a woman wakes up her eyes flashing a bright blue. She sits up in bed propping herself up on the headboard. She closes her eyes and can feel that the protective seal has broken. "Well shit," she mutters out loud. She slides her legs off of the bed and heads to the closet. She begins to throw her stuff into a couple of duffle bags and puts on a large T-shirt and shorts.
The woman grabs her smartphone from the charger, searching through the contacts :Ivy: and clicks on the contact.
The phone rings twice before Ivy picks up, her voice sounds ragged, "Liz, why in the bloody hell are you calling?"
The woman, Liz, speaks quickly before Ivy can say anything more, "The seal has been broken," is all she says and hangs up before Ivy can respond.
Ivy knows what to do, they all know what to do.
