ALI'S POV
I have just graduated from high school and now the world looks bigger then it did yesterday. I thought of many things that I would like to do, but where to start is my question.
My boyfriend of 6 months left me last week for my so called "best friend". I am heartbroken and don't know where to turn for help. Luckily Kyle was there to ease my pain.
The day of Ali's break up:
I walked up to Blake to confront him and ask him why he wanted my friend over me. Before I could get a word in Kyle saw how upset I was and stopped me in my tracks. "Ali the guy is not worth your love or your beauty, and as for Leia she clearly wasn't your best friend..." I sigh and a small shimmering tear trickled down my almost-perfect face. "I know but I just want to know what I did to her to make her do this" I said as I wiped my tear away. "Ali I don't want you anymore upset then you already are, you know I don't like seeing you like this" he said and with that he engulfed me in a hug and took me away from my two betrayers. "Where are we going my apprentice?" I chuckled. "We are going to a place that I'm sure you will make your safe haven." He said. I looked at him confusion in mind but with curiosity on my face. "Where is this safe haven?" I asked in a dry British accent to make him giggle slightly. He looked at me, gave a naughty boy smirk and looked back in front of him.
"Oh come on please tell me,you know I'm terrible when I'm curious..." He looked to where his car was and said "Well curiosity killed the...." I interuptted "Cat...yeah yeah I know."
We walked to his black Merc and climbed in. I put some music on and sang like a total twat in the car, Kyle just laughed at me. I turned down the music and asked him why he was laughing at me. He said that he loved it when I forgot about my troubles and just enjoyed myself. "You see I told you that you don't need that guy to make you happy" He said with a giant smile on his face, with his eyes shimmering with happiness.
We finally arrived at his surprise place. "Come here" he said before blindfolding me. "Is this really necessary? I feel like I'm getting kidnapped..." I said. He let of a laugh and said "Of course it is, I want you to experience the sounds before the sights"
"What do u hear?" He asked. "Well mostly you because you talk too much." I joked. "Haha real funny. No seriously what do u hear?"
"Uhmmm I hear the waves crashing against the rocks and trees whistling in the slight breeze and a...wait you didn't.." I ripped the blindfold off and screeched with excitement.
There in the slight breeze, standing by the aqua blue water, next to a blanket on the beach sand covered with fruits, juices and food, was a white stallion with blue eyes. His coat was so soft and shiny as if it was a diamond but soft like silk.
I ran to it and petted it and looked at Kyle who was walking to me and the horse. "So do you like it?" He asked softly. "Like it? I love it. But how...?" I said almost screeching. "The horse was mine and I got a new horse back at the stables and I didn't want him to feel left out and lonely. So I thought of how you are always looking at horses and decided you are the perfect person to look after my boy."
I looked at him with tears in my eyes and hugged him so tightly. "I love him. I promise I will look after him." "Thank you I know you will look after him. Now my heart can be at peace." He said with a slight sigh.
Then something popped into my head like Rice Krispy's pop in a bowl..."but where would I keep him?" "No worries" he said and turned me around. My eyes widened as I saw a beach house in between the palm trees that also had a little stable for the horse.
"Oh wow it's beautiful" I said staring at this spectacular house among the trees.
"Welcome to Ali's getaway." He said "After that jackass left you earlier this week I was wrecking my brain on how to make you feel better. And this is what came up..."
I turned to look at him, hugged him and said with a shaky voice "Thank you so much Kyle, this means the world to me..."
After giving me a tour of the beautiful house we went back to where the picnic blanket was and we both took a seat facing the horizon. The sun was just setting and he took out a bottle of champagne and poured us each a glass. "Here's to graduating" he said lifting his glass slowly "and to new beginnings and friendship" I added and clinked my glass with his.
