Chapter 1 - James Walls

2016 Earth.

The news was all about a new serial killer called the "vampire". He got his name, because he always removed the blood of his victims until the last drop.

James Walls celebrated his birthday today. He was sitting at the table and was casually talking with some of his collegues . They all wore elegant clothes suggesting they went into theater before coming to the home of Mr. Walls. Mr. Walls was in his 50s, but he kept his own body in a good condition. The dish they were currently eating was lobster. Mr. Walls was struggling a bit with cutting a bit off from it with his silver knife. He haven't used this dinner set in quite a while hence the blade of the knifes was a bit dull. They were drinking wine. One of the present people commenters on the drink: "I love this wine, where did you got this from." "From a friend of mine" Mr. Walls answered after a short pause. "I can ask him about it later."

Police officer Graham Jackson was running. He was busy nowadays because of the "vampire", but he promised to visit his neighbor Mr. Walls on his birthday for dinner.

He originally planned to decline the invitation, but Mr. Walls had no family and no close friends, so he felt pity towards him. Mr. Walls was a clever man. He had piled up lots of money under the years. There was one thing though he didn't like about him: He always gave him questions while riding the elevator as if he was testing him. This was one of the reasons why recently he used the stairs much more. Graham considered the stairs an archenemy of his, but it was still better then answering the questions of Mr. Walls.

He arrived to the house finally. He quickly went up the stairs and barged into the home of Mr. Walls. The table still had trace of the dinner, but the guests were gone. He found it quite odd since he was only 10 minutes late. He went to the other rooms searching for Mr. Walls. He was sitting in his office. Good Evening Mr. Walls. Sorry for being late." "I don't mind it, we were just a bit too fast. Sit down here for a while, I can prepare something for us to eat. I just got a new wine from the one of my colleagues. I think it's time for us to try it out." He went out of the room. While waiting Graham was looking around, suddenly he noticed something strange. There was a pile of books on the table about vampires. One of them had a bookmark in it. Graham went there and opened it. The chapter was about the taste of blood and something called blood wine. He immediately got suspicious. Cold shivers went trough his body. There was a room in the back of the room. After inspecting it Graham noticed some red stains on the doorstep. His hearth started pounding faster. He went to the door and opened it. He was shocked: There were several dead bodies laying on the ground. Some of them had no wounds suggesting they were poisoned. On some others he could see the signs of a knife. He quickly turned around, but he was late. Walls was standing right behind him. He held a kitchen knifes in his right hand and with a fast move he pushed it into Grahams body. He was aiming for the heart. This was the last thing Graham saw.

After Graham died, Walls quickly cleaned up the mess. And drank a glass of his "wine". He looked incredibly satisfied. -Finally I have enough blood- he thought as he opened a hidden door leading up to the penthouse by pulling a book on his bookshelf and playing a few notes in a certain order on his piano. The melody was from a Bach piece called Toccata and Fugue in D minor. He brought down a few containers from the hidden room. And went into the room where he stored the bodies: the bathroom. He plugged the bathtub and with the help of the knife he opened up his victims and drained their blood into the bathtub. After he finished the process he filled up the containers with blood and he went up to the secret room with them. In the middle of the room there was a giant pentagram inside of a circle the circle was also inside of a bigger circle. Between the 2 circles there were several runes. The paint used for drawing them was of course blood. He grabbed a painting brush and got to work. After drawing runes for hours his masterpiece was completed. "I hope this will work" he said. He stood in the middle of the circle and started chanting. But nothing happened. He was really disappointed. He was already prepared for this case. He went down back to his office and took out a gun from one of his drawers. He held it to his head: "Here it goes" he said and pulled the trigger sending himself into the afterlife or wait... "Where am I" he asked.
