"HELLLLPPPP!!!""
"AHHHHHHHHHHH NO!!!"
People are screaming everywhere. The middle part of the city where the lively markets are located and people are usually doing their daily chores where suddenly turned into horror. A three headed monster is causing havoc and wreaking all things on its way. It is 20 meters tall, a body full of scales and as thick as metal. Each stomp of its four feet and huge claws cause strong vibration to the ground that is almost like an earthquake. But that is not all, the worst part are its head. Each head roars different kind of magic - fire, ice and earth. Each mouth fire on different direction causing building around the central to turn into rumbles.
"What the Hades is that?" Zen shouted in horror as he and Grey dropped their jaws while staring at it. They were a little bit far from the central part of Andromeda but the huge chaos was very obvious from their distance.
Grey was speechless and very nervous at what he was seeing until he saw Zen running towards the central. "Zen! Where are you going?!"
Zen was nervous and afraid but he was more afraid that many will die. Grey always knew that Zen is a natural born hero but he would like to think (and say) that Zen is just a plain idiot who would risk his life for others. "Zen wait!"
He immediately followed Zen. They jumped from roof to roof like it was nothing. Before they got their own house, they were used to sleeping anywhere in the streets and they were used to running and jumping everywhere as if the city was their own jungle.
"Mama!" a little child was crying while her mother was carrying her. They don't know where to go but the mother kept running in hope of saving her precious girl. Suddenly, a huge shadow were approaching behind them. When she looked up, a huge boulder was about to crush them. There was no way they can escape that rock but still she hugged her child tightly and cover her with all her available strength. "I'm sorry my baby."
In a split second Zen appeared like a lightning and punched the whole boulder making it shattered into pieces. He was not thinking a bit when he do that. He was actually shocked of what he did. He never punched a rock that big. No, he never punched a rock before at all. "Who would punch a stone anyway?" He thought.
"How did you do that?" Grey said in amazement. He appeared a few seconds after Zen and checked the mother and child immediately. He stand before them and drew a magic circle in the air with his right hand and heal them simultaneously with the other.
"I don't know. I never did that before. I also don't know you can do that much healing too." Zen replied. "We must help a lot of people as much as possible."
The mother was in tears and thanked them. They suggested them to run away from the central as far as they could. On the other hand, the both of them dashed again towards the center where the monster is located.
"Why are we planning to die at an early age?" Grey shouted in distance as he tried to cope up with Zen's speed. He honestly do not like the idea of risking their lives but he is doing it anyway because at the back of his mind he wants to keep Zen safe while supporting his ideals at the same time.
"You're not planning on feeding yourself to the Serphynx, right?" Grey attempted a second question.
"Serphynx? So that is the name of that monster. I can't just sit down. I need to do something. Besides I can not dream of becoming one of the 12 Zodiac Captains if I can't save people in times like this." Zen replied.
At the eye of the chaos where the Serphynx is located, the surrounding was like a hell of fire and ice. The monster is endlessly spewing at different directions. A lot of people were turned into ashes, frozen and crushed. It was a horrible sight.
"HUNDRED LIGHTNING SWORDS TORNADO!!!"
A hundred flash of lights appeared from the sky surrounding the monster. In a few seconds the lights formed into sword shapes electricity and struck the serphynx before it can even respond. A huge bang of explosion followed blinding the whole place with light temporarily.
The monster was obviously affected by the strong attack but it roared as if it became more angrier. Its heads where looking around to find the source of the attack.
"Eyes here ugly!" A huge man in knight suit was floating in front of the serphynx. He was wearing a golden armor. He has a thick eyebrows and a thick chestnut brown hair. He has an obvious scar near his eyes but it doesn't make him look bad. It rather give him quite the demeanor of a fighter. He was smiling at the monster as if he was inviting it to attack him. He was holding a huge golden sword and he was pointing it at the center head of the monster.
As if in response, the center head of the monster formed a magic circle in front of his mouth and spitted hundreds of boulders towards the Captain. The captain easily sliced through each rocks like pieces of cakes.
"Wooahh! Grey look, that thing is spitting rocks! Won't it be choking itself?" Zen asked with a curious face.
"Seriously, that's what your thinking now?" Grey convinced himself not to feed Zen to the Serphynx. They just arrived at the scene and were hiding in a pile of a broken building nearby. There were no one alive nearby. Even the knights are nowhere except for the Captain. They thought that probably the celestial knights already evacuated the remaining survivors. At least, they both felt relieved in spite the fact that the temperature is horrible due to the ice crystals and fire everywhere. Their cold nights sleeping on streets and burning daytime on streets have its own perks somehow.
"That is Captain Leomord of the 12 Zodiacs Captain. He looks more powerful and strong in person." Grey said in amazement. Both of them was staring in awe while watching the whole fighting scene.
Captain Leo raised his golden sword in the air. He concentrated his mana towards the sword charging it with his lightning magic. He continued channeling magic toward his sword and series of lightnings fell from the sky toward him and his sword.
"SLASH OF THE LIGHTING GOD!"
The captain slashed his sword towards the monster. A huge slash of lightning was supposed to hit the serphynx body but the center head shielded itself towards it. The center of the three heads was sliced and flew to the ground. After it hit the ground, the severed head turned into ashes of dark lights and was gone.
"One down. Two more." The captain proudly muttered.
He was supposed to do another attack when the two remaining heads simultaneously beamed two rays of ice and fire in both directions. He stopped the fire attack on the left but was caught by the ice beam throwing him to the ground. Before he can even get up, the tail of the serphynx pitched the nearest ruined building nearby towards him. A huge pile of boulder was coming towards his direction before he can even blink his eye. He knew it was his end.
