I am a normal inmate, who was confined for the absurd crime of gracefully ending the life of her own damned father.
I remember that certain night when I saw fear leaked out of my mother's usual strong-gazed eyes, along with her tears, while staring at her own child.
It wasn't really that rare to see my father hurt my mother. I mean, ever since I can remember, the same scene has been on repeat every single night, you see.
My fingers halt from scratching the wall of the dark-lit room, when the heavy door creaks open behind me.
I turn around, just to see an unfamiliar man waiting for me outside. I stand up and smile at him.
He starts to walk so I follow after him, passing by the doors of my fellows.
Ah, now that I remember it, when I was continuously thrusting the knife (which I think I randomly grabbed from the kitchen) on that man's soft flesh, his begging face was actually really funny.
My reminiscence unexpectedly made me chuckle, making the man in front of me to glance my way. I sigh. 'Great, now he thinks I'm weird.' I thought as I cover my mouth with both hands, desperately trying to hide my laughter.
After a while, the man finally decided to stop walking. I was kind of curious of why he did tho, so I tilt my body on the side to peek on what's in front of the man before me.
My joy immediately overflowed as I see a familiar face from afar, I run as fast as I could, unable to suppress the excitement that I'm feel. I sit in front of the woman, separating us by a mere transparent glass.
She gives me a strained smile, replying at my genuine one. Now that I look at her, she lost weight since the last time I saw her. It's obvious that she's not doing well these days, but to not offend her, I purposely keep my thought to myself.
She started to say something, but I realize, I'm unable to hear anything.
So I frown from confusion, not having any clue of what she might be saying.
"What?" I say in annoyance.
But for some reason, I was able to understand her last words -- see you in hell, my child. -- she says before pulling out a piece of shattered glass from her pocket and smoothly gliding it on her neck.
As her blood trickles down her neck, I put my fingers on my chin, feeling like some kind of a genius detective, as I think '--that's suspicious... how can a deadly thing pass through this place's security..'.
As people started to gather on the other side of the glass, I feel my boredom accumulating inside of me.
So, as to keep myself entertained, I stand up and walk away from the scene.
I hum as I skip my way back to my room.
In the middle of my elegant display, my surroundings started to distort itself. The next thing I knew, I am inside our house.
Looking in front, I see my father slap my mother's tender cheek as she glares at him.
But unsatisfied of the things he had already done, he grabs a handful of my mother's hair and yells at her face.
With a very numb feeling, I look beside me. There, I see a knife glistens as if calling me. I smile at it and pick it up from the counter where my mother usually cooks.
I silently walk straight towards their direction while grinning like an idiot.
I wait behind my father to finish, but the moment my mother's eyes caught my figure, immense exhilaration flared inside of me that I was unable to stop myself from raising my hand and quickly stabbing the back of my father.
As he was yet to process the whole situation, another hole was immediately added as I pull the knife away and thrust it again somewhere on his body. I repeatedly did that until I decided that his already a useless corpse underneath me.
The sight of him squirming and twitching earlier was more exciting than him being this ridiculous.
With tears on my eyes from laughing so hard, I look at the direction of my mother. I smile at her with glee as she stares at me with the same eyes of horror.
'Ah~ this is now becoming boring, isn't it?' I thought as my smile fades in a second. I sigh in defeat before taking a deep breath.
When I open my eyes, the soothing singing of the birds, along with the rustling sound of the leaves above me, create a calming melody as I watch my parents happily play tag before me.
This time, we're spending our day simply by relaxing outside of our house.
A soft sigh escapes my mouth as my lips curve. I lie down on the grass, wanting to enjoy the tranquility of the illusory place.
'Ah~, how peaceful. I wonder how long this scene will play on this time.'

"Hey, won't you call her already?" A girl nods her head towards the solitude figure of her friend near the window of their classroom.
"I'll do it." Another young lady says before walking to their friend. The more she erases their distance, the more she realizes that her friend is humming and smiling like a child again. "Ready yet?" She asks, making her friend to stop her humming to look at her with a childish smile.
"...Oh, the class already ended? Let's go then." She stands up, walking out of the room with her friends, talking about random stuff.
'Having friends are rather bothersome, aren't they..' The girl thinks while talking to her friends. "Hey girls, wanna stop by somewhere before going home?" She asks with a smile.
"Hm? Yeah, why not." A girl nonchalantly answers.
She grins. "..follow me then."
