Augustus POV
Having someone to do things for you is very satisfying. Them being at your disposal, heeding every request, following your every order is indeed pleasing. Most of my exes would have said that I'm controlling but I just say that I do what I have to, to protect them. Morana is by far the easiest and most gorgeous girl I have ever been with. When I first saw her enter the classroom I knew that I had to get here. I could easily tell she's never had a boyfriend before so it was just a piece of cake asking her out. A few flirting moves here and there, turn on my charm and before you know it, I got myself a new plaything. Life was great, we were the perfect couple on campus and everyone was envious of our relationship. Of course, I'm the captain of the ship, everything I say goes, no questions asked. I decide what we do, what we eat, and what she says around anyone. Everything was going well...until she started to slip. Why can't she just to the things I tell her! Every time I come to our apartment, everything is in disarray. Not only that, but she also keeps missing the school works I needed her to do. That's not all, lately, she's been looking more like an ungroomed witch. Sometimes I get embarrassed walking out with her looking like that so I decide that from then on I would pick her outfits and choose whether or not she can go out with me. One time, we went out and I let her come with me to meet with my friends and you know what that bitch did? She embarrassed me in front of my friends by talking back and storming off. Ohoho… no one undermines my authority.
"Hey Ana, can you fetch us some more beer please?" I grunted, slurring, already having too much to drink. "Bae, I think you should stop, you're already drunk. We still need to drive home, so do your friends." she countered, gently taking the half-empty beer-filled glass from my hand and setting it on the table. "I am not drunk! Just tipsy! Go get the drink already will you!" I demanded, annoyed at her defiance. With shocked and concerned eyes she looks at me, "No August, I think we should go." cautiously she hinted. "NO! I want a drink! You don't tell me what to do!" I shouted. Flinching at my booming voice she slightly cowers in fear. " Stop it, Augustus, you're not being reasonable. We need to get home, and you're coming with me." she tries to act tough. I look around the room and I find my friends snickering at our exchange. Angered by the embarrassment, I turn to her. " You're not the boss of me. I will drink. What are you going to do about it huh? Go home by yourself, I don't care!" I say in my most intimidating voice and I watch her quiver in her seat. She abruptly stands. " Fine, I will go home by myself. Whatever you say." bravely asserted, storming out the bar. After she left, my friends burst out laughing. " What?" I say annoyed as I call sip my newly ordered drink. "Looks like the kitten is fully grown, already bitting back." Lucas joked. I ignore their teasing and focus on the problem at hand, " already fighting back huh? Just you wait kitten, I'll deal with you when I get home." I mumble and continue to have fun with my friends.
I stumble into the apartment and scream Morana's name. Seeing her come out of our room, I straighten myself. Crossing her arms she looks at me annoyed and stops a few feet in front of me, "What?" Not liking her smug face, I move closer to her and grab her arm, I drag her to the couch and throw her rather harshly. Catching her off guard, I lock her in putting both my arm at each of her sides. "You never, and I mean never, Undermine me. Understand?" I growl lowly. Paralyzed by fear, she looks at me silently with tears in her eyes. "Do that again and you'll be in serious trouble," I say. Lifting myself and standing in front of her, "Since you wanted to go home so bad, why not stay here for good? From now on, every day, after school you will come home immediately. If you want to go somewhere or with someone you will tell me. You can't leave unless I say so." She bolts up, "WHAT? You can't do that!" she exclaimed. "Watch your tone Morana, remember what I told you." She visibly gulps "But-" "After you embarrassed me in front of my friends, don't you think it's only fair?" I rhetorically asked hinting her to agree or else. Picking up on my hint, her head hanging lowly, she whimpers "Y-yes… I understand." "Good, It's nice to know that we agree. Now, why don't you fix me something to eat as an apology?" "Y-yeah sure…you want anything specific?" "Hmmm… how about a bowl of ramen?" "Okay…" "Goodgirl~" I bubbled in a sing-song voice, I pat her head as she walks past me. I made my way over to the couch, plopping myself in the white cushions and I open the television. Busying myself with the boring late-night shows while I wait for Morana to cook my food. Thirty minutes pass and I'm already bored out of my mind. I look Morana in the kitchen preparing my meal and I think to myself. Oh what fun I would have with her, I imagine her doing everything I say. Oh, what a perfect slave she would be. A buzz brings me out of my thoughts and I look at the coffee table and notice Morana's phone light up with a notification. I pick it up and read the notification through her lock screen and my blood boils with anger once more. I put back the phone on the coffee table as I notice Morana coming towards me with a bowl of hot ramen. I thank her as she sets down the bowl on the table in front of me. "Do you need anything else?" " No, that's it. You can go back to your room now." I say dryly, reaching for the bowl, my hunger becoming more apparent. I closely watch her as she picks up her phone and made her way back to our room. I peacefully eat my food, deciding to save that problem for another time.
No one can defeat the tyrant king. Sweetheart, you are merely his plaything.
