Valerie, as promised, went to the library with Alice. Alice sat in her lap while Valerie read one of her favorite books.
After a while, the butler came in and told Valerie the king summoned her.
"Valerie, Malphus has called you to his office." The butler looked at the cat, then he looked Valerie up and down, and then he left.
Valerie got up from her chair and walked out of the library, whit Alice not too far behind her. Valerie took the easy way to his office because she knew the king didn't like to be kept waiting. She had no regard for how Malphus would react to Alice.
"Yes, sire?" Valerie walked into Malphus' office with Alice not far behind.
"Bring two cups of tea, and a plate of cookies" Malphus ordered and Valerie bowed leaving his study unaware that Alice decided to stay behind.
"Meow" Alice jumped ontop of Malphus's desk and lightly pawed his paperwork to retrieve his attention.
"Hello, Saphora, have you been spying on my residents again? You look nice, who has dolled you up?" Malphus asked the cat, giving it a quick rub on the head.
"Meow" Alice answered to receive a nod from Malphus.
"I see, I suppose she has given you a name to then, what is it?" Malphus asked the cat.
