Chapter 21 - That maid ruined everything! part 2

No mater how the other maids acted, Lilly was only after the one. She had been in a royal family, so Lilly knew how to set someone up without being caught, and the ways she was taught had almost always worked on her other victims.

The only time it did not work is when she wanted to kill a maid which was prettier than her, yet dumber that her. The poor maid was so dumb she had only missed the trap because she was not where she was supposed to be when she was supposed to be there.

In the end, the maid got fired for said stupidity, that kept her alive.

Lilly sought this plan out very carefully, and kept the order things were supposed to happen in the back of a book that was in the dungeon-cell like room she was given. No one ever cleaned her room but her, so know one knew she was planning revenge on the maid that had her title taken from her.

Malphus had taken Lilly back to his castle, because the maids who worked at Lilly's old castle were fired. Malphus now ruled both the kingdoms on his own, and was already getting a new castle made. He didn't need, or want, a second castle.

It was getting close to the Kings birthday, and there was going to be a huge celebration. This was the first part of Lilly's plan. When the time came for the cake to be brought to the ballroom, the cake had gone missing. When it was found, it was found in Valerie's room.

Valerie didn't get a punishment, and Lilly knew why. She knew the King knew how to play dirty, because he was a royal too. She also knew that the King knows that Lilly should not strike again for a couple of weeks, to keep people off her trail.

This was the reason she decided to attack in 3 days. She took some of the Kings important jewels that he wears every day, and stuffed them under Valerie's bed.

The King unwillingly gave Valerie a punishment of cleaning the ballroom floor with a toothbrush, and she had to do it without breaks or food until she finished. He knew Valerie did not take his jewels, but he knew the person who was doing this to her either wanted her gone or to be horribly punished and would stop at nothing until they got what they wanted.

Lilly was happy to see the girl slowly cleaning the floor, starving as it had been two nights already. She was as happy as anyone could get from the satisfaction, but she was not done.

She knew she could have stopped at that and gone on about her life, but she could not. Once she got a taste of revenge from Valerie she could not just stop there. It would take all her life force to leave the girl be, revenge from her was like candy, but far, far sweeter, and the satisfaction stayed longer.

Just after 2 days Lilly found herself doing something else to get Valerie to be punished, she took her uniform and ripped it to shreds, throwing it all over the room.

It was a rule for the maids to wear their uniforms, unless they were off work, or were asked to wear something different.

Though the snipping and cutting of Valerie's outfit was exciting in and of itself, Valerie did not get in trouble for not having her uniform. She told Malphus what happened, so Malphus excused her uniforms absence and ordered her a new one that she'd get soon enough. This made Lilly's skin boil, why did she get to be excused?! It was her job to keep her uniform in good shape! Also, why did Malphus buy her a new uniform, isn't she supposed to get a new one for herself?!

The mere thought of Malphus and Valerie in the same room made Lilly's face turn red. She thought Malphus had fallen for Valerie even while they were married, though she didn't notice because of how love sick she was.

There is no possible way! There is no way anyone could love someone as ugly as her! SHE must have put a love potion on him! That wretch, how dare she put a love potion on the King! How dare she involve herself with black witches!

Hm, black witches.. That's it, all she had to do was convince people she either was a black witch or had involved herself with a black witch and she would be beheaded!

The night that idea crossed Lilly's mind, she scratched out all her other plans, and threw the book away. She did not need it anymore, this would bring her ultimate satisfaction. Or at least she thought so.
