Chapter 10 - The reunion

"Hello Kingdom of Riverdale, your queen and I have come to this kingdom meeting to see if we came address any problems first hand" Malphus said as the princess, who is now Queen, from the kingdom Cliffered went to stand next to the King. She slipped her hand into his only for him to jerk his hand away.

Valerie noticed it happening and wondered if he was upset with her, and if he was what had she done to make him this mad? When Malphus used to get mad at Valerie he would still hold her hand, no matter how angry. That means she might have blown a fuse inside the man.

Malphus' eyes scanned the room and when he found Valerie, he stopped scanning through the room and locked eyes with her, he continued to speak to the people about why this is so important to him. Valerie lowered her eyes, she felt the tension was too much to handle.

'Mm, he's wearing his flat face, he's bored' Valerie thought to herself. She had seen this face anytime she was doing homework and Malphus wanted to play, but couldn't play by himself.

After the meeting had finished, Malphus walked over to Valerie. Lilly was wondering were he was going, and when she saw he was going near a woman she simply thought he wanted some kind of resource from her.

"Hello lady Valerie, Mr.Fin-Whip" The prince bowed to Valerie and her husband. It seemed he know that was Oscar, but the question was how? Oscar looked so different than when they were in school.

"King Malphus, Queen Lilith" Oscar greeted the King and Queen, though he looked a little angry with their presence.

The men started a conversation, but Valerie didn't know what they were talking about. All she could think about is giving Malphus a big hug and telling him how much she missed him.

"Ah, how rude of me. This is my wife, Lilith" said the King ad he grabbed the Queen by her shoulders and pushed her forwards, she winced a little but possibly because she wasn't expecting that.

"And this, my wife. Valerie" said Oscar as the Queen and Valerie shook hands. The King gave him a smile, but a murderous look rested in his eyes.

Valerie could tell that he tried his best to hide the blood thirsty look in his eyes, but it wasn't working. The tension was raising between the men, Oscar could tell the King still liked Valerie but it had been 9 years, since they met last. It was time for him to move on.

"Well, we'll be on our way now. It was nice to see you two again, old friends." The King started to walk away with the Queen not far behind.

At the castle, a love-sick King sat in his study doing work, when the butler pops in.

"Hey Mathew, I want the Fin-Whip dress shop closed down. If they ask why, say for tax reasons. Then 2 weeks later send the newest wedded Fin-Whip household a piece of parchment saying we're looking for a new maid." The King said as he sipped coffee' from his mug, not bothering to look up at the butler.

"Yes, your majesty" said Mathew the butler, as he left the Kings study and closed the door.

Malphus sat his mug down, walked around to the front of the desk, and sighed as he leaned back on it. As Lily came in she saw this happen and went to ask "What's wrong sweetie?" Only to have the response be "Don't call me 'sweetie' you pig".

"You're NEVER nice to me and I'm over it! We haven't even been to bed since the day of our wed! If you don't man up and sleep with me TONIGHT, I'm leaving the castle for two weeks!" Lily stomped her way out of the study and slammed the door closed once she was out.

The king didn't care, at all. He didn't need to get sexual pleasure form her, he got it through a maid. She couldn't have children because something was wrong with her body. The King knew this and took advantage of it. He didn't think much of it anytime they'd have a night together, but it was the highlight of the maids week or month whenever it happened.

They would meet up in the Kings room that he had when he was a boy and sleep together, after they would finish she would clean the covers and the King would excuse her for being late the day after.

None of the other maids guessed it, and if they did they hadn't told anyone. So no one knew how Mary got to be excused from the King when she was late, it made people angry because they thought the King had favorites. None of the other maids would talk to Mary, except for the children ones, so she had no friends.
