Ramona had resorted to using the protective features of her artifacts more times in the last few days than she had since she received it.
This left her in a state of shock and self loathing, never had she been beaten, humiliated to the point where she couldn't fight back.
She was a prodigy, the chosen one, the saintess, but here, her position meant nothing. During her deep sleep to recover, Ramona was torn between recurring dreams of her defeat, if it could be called that, at the hands of the crawling beast and the attack at the hands of a fox like beast and her vision with the old man and what could be her future.
The crawling beast was already defeated, it's carcass and the fact that she was still alive was proof of that but that only made the sneaky fox the object of her hatred.
But that didn't mean she didn't think about the words she heard in her dream or pondered the identity of the 2 she kept seeing.
