Living in a strange land with no help, no connections and very little information is a recipe for disaster to any normal person
The young elf Getsuga was no exception to this rule. She had been wandering the wild expanse of the land for days on hand now without making an actual process
"Perhaps it's time I admitted I'm lost"
Getsuga sighed as she slumped unto the ground, leaning against a tree bark for comfort
"STATUS"
She muttered, at her words a bright transparent screen flickered into existence, floating just before her eyes

*************
Getsuga woke up only to find she was in a place different from her room, she was lying in a pool of blood in the place that once was her home
The room belonged to her mother, but it was strange that she was there in the first place. Ever since her grandmother died, Getsuga had become an outsider to her own family, isolated even to the point that she had to move to her grandmother's residence
Getsuga's body was in pains and felt unnatural, iron cuffs with chains attached were bound to her hands and legs, although only a bit of chain was attached to them, however it was still an inconvenience
Her head ached, but that didn't deter her from trying to get on her feet
"Ahhhh, I need to get out of here before mum gets back here"
She was in such a distraught state that she failed to notice the condition of the room, the slash marks, the burns or even the body split in two on the edge of the room
With great difficulty, she got on her feet and made her way out of the room, but the sight in the hall was so gruesome that the contents of her stomach found their way out through her mouth
Blood, organs and limbs were splattered everywhere, the mental shock she experienced was so strong that even while vomiting she stumbled backwards, going back into the room she was coming from, only to trip on one of the chains attached to the cuff on her ankles
This time, the state of the room became clear to her. The disarray, destruction and slash marks, the room bore proof to the carnage that had happened here in the past
"What happened here"
Getsuga muttered while trying to get her trembling body under control, the sound of her chains clunking and rattling with all her movements made the atmosphere even more dreary
After a few minutes of getting her body under control, she got up and moved towards the window on the other side of the room, her intentions to call for help, but on getting there, she found the village was in ruins.
Dead bodies splattered everywhere, some buildings had been burnt down and some split into fragments
Chaos, war and destruction, that was all could describe the scene Getsuga saw in front of her, she has seen war documentaries and media on television in her previous life, but seeing it in person, it carried a different feeling to it
While Getsuga didn't have a pleasant memory or special attachment to the members of the village, they were still the only people she knew and seeing her home in such a state was mind breaking, she fell to the floor, losing all the feeling in her body
Her eyes were drawn to a shiny object on the edge of the room, and that was when she discovered the corpse of the woman that was her mother
A splitting pain resounded in her head as words appeared in her vision
*Initialising system*
*Insufficient nether reserves for startup, searching for alternatives*
*Detected presence of excess life energy in the vicinity*
*Detected presence of souls in the vicinity*
*Commencing restructuring*
*Restructuring complete*
*Commencing conversion*
*Conversation complete*
*New function 'Soul points' created*
Enduring the pain, Getsuga tried to make heads of the words floating in front of her
'What is this?'
*System integration is about to occur, slight pain might be encountered in the process, it is advised that you stay conscious*
As she read the last set of words that was flashing in red, it felt like her head was shredded into a million pieces, the pain she was feeling previously couldn't even be compared to this
Along with the pain, streams of information flowed into her, among them was the events of the previous night
She had been sleeping in her grandma's residence when she had been abducted and bound in chains, her residence had been spiked with one of the creations by the priestess for this plan to happen
They had planned to offer her as a sacrifice to the moon to ward off all the disasters than had befell them, the ritual had already been set up, and the offering was prepared, everything was going according to plan, they were only wait for the moon to be at its peak
When the right time for the ritual to rich it's high point ritual was in process, the moon which at this time was crescent became blood red and Black miasma was emitted from the altar and was sucked into Getsuga's body
The villagers present at the ceremony burst into cheers, happy that their sacrifice was accepted, after all this was the first time in ages they had a reaction after their sacrifice, and this reaction was without a doubt the highest they had received
Their prayers had been answered and the cancer of their life had been exterminated, they cheered and prepared for celebrations that they would hold that night
The priestess however did not share that opinion, it had been passed down from when their village was a powerhouse, anyone that could trigger such a response from the moon was a treasured one
One that had been bestowed the power and authority of the moon, born from an origin different from the rest of the world
"But how is this possible"
The priestess trembled as she pulled on her hair, losing all composure, the child before her was one that was one that was cursed from birth
She remembered clearly the words her master foretold about the child before she died, drawn by the sight in front of her, she was compelled to recite the very words recited by her master
"You won't stumble nor fall, the moon shall pave the path for you, the setting of the moon and the coming of sunlight shall signal the end of your foes, the darkness shall be your home, and the spirit of the fallen your allies.
The rise and fall of the children of the moon shall be decided by you, their champion, judge, warrior, if they stand by you, you shall lead them to victory, and if they cast you aside, your blade shall be turned against them
Rise Getsuga, for you are the Moon Fang who will lay waste to all enemies, bring terror to all who go against you, and bring eternal rest to those deserving"
Her voice thundering throughout the vicinity, reaching every soul, from elf to beast, It sounded like the words of a God declaring the fate of her subjects
"No!!!! Those aren't the words of my master"
The priestess uttered as she shrieked loudly this time to the hearing of everyone present
They had heard the words recited by the priestess and their celebratory mood had vanished, even the most foolish of souls understood what that meant but they couldn't bring themselves to believe it
What had they done? Condemn the very one that was suppose to usher them into a new era to death, it didn't take a genius to tell that their end was near
Getsuga's father raised his sword and charged towards the altar, set to take her life before the worst happened
He was a man that always put the clan above everything else, which was why he turned a blind eye to how his own daughter was treated, to ensure the peace and stability of a dying tribe
While he wasn't there when the prophecy was told about his daughter, he had seen the way his wife and the priestess treated her, even the way his grandmother went out of her way to teach the girl, he didn't hate or feel repulsed by the child but allowed all that happened to her just because he wanted to maintain the balance and peace
Even now that he was charging towards the altar to kill her, it was to ensure the stability of his clan, if he allowed her to live, he was sure the whole tribe would be wiped off the face of Kreatia, they had condemned her and turned away from her after all
'Sorry child, but for the greater good, just like always I'll have to put it all on you'
